Hilarious for you because you are in NSW. For us Victorians it's a cross between sad and annoying.

Speaking of the US, more cover-ups by NY governor Andrew Cuomo have emerged:

Perhaps the moron who destroyed the DHHS when he became Premier should fall on his sword for yet another deadly failure?

No, you’re right, that’s hoping for way too much!!!

Dan is lucky that climate change now means cooler summers and less bushfire risk, imagine what would happen if we had a fire season after he decimated the states bushfire response at the same time we’re stuck in lockdown from his DHHS bungle.

As opposed to a Republican President who was responsible for so many more deaths.

Everyone is quick to blame the President, but much like here, most of the decisions are made by the States. Trump could close the borders..which he did 31 January from China, 11 March from the EU. What we saw in NY was all Cuomo.

^Have to agree with that. Trump shouldered a lot the blame that should've gone to the states. California is wall-to-wall Democrats and they're f#cked.

^ That is the opposite of my recollection, TP. What I do recall is the Supreme Court striking down some restraints on religious gatherings and the like last October. FWIW, here the (US) ABC's timeline of the early steps that Cuomo and Trump did and didn't take:

I escaped early, I was here before the announcement. I find WPTs misguided devotion hilarious but it's both sad and very annoying that it comes to this again. Andrews has talked up both his contact tracing and hotel quarantine as best in class when they clearly aren't as the state is locked down because both failed. Again.

The really sad thing is that some people still believe it's not his fault and he's doing a good job.

Exactly, but Orange Man Bad.

A lot of the blame and responsibility falls on the Governors, but illiterates of US politics blamed it all on Trump.

It's as illogical as blaming Biden for 73,000 deaths since inauguration day.
