Just wanted to quote that again as it's really worth it. managing the virus they do.

Compare the pair, again for those who missed it on the last page.

NSW

125,000 people put into Hotel Quarantine
2910 cases in HQ
2178 cases locally acquired
54 deaths

Victoria

35,000 people put into Hotel Quarantine
1067 cases in HQ
20,469 cases locally acquired
820 deaths.

What was that joke? Australia's pandemic response was like a Spice Girls concert, everyone was doing their part except Victoria who let the team down.

They were only on the Hume heading north, 100s of well used roads went unprotected including a major highway.

So far so good. Cool heads prevailing in Victoria despite the cacophony of henny-penny’s all around the place.

Low numbers so far with very high testing numbers. A responsible government not only preventing spread but not exporting the virus interstate.

2 new locally acquire cases in Victoria and 2 in quarantine (acquired overseas, says DHHS). According to the ABC blog:
The two local cases are close household contacts of a previously confirmed case linked to the Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport outbreak.
There were 23,950 test results reported.

Anyone reckon we'll be out of this on Thursday? It's not 0 new cases, but it doesn't exactly look like a massive outbreak, either...
