What I don’t understand here is not the allegations but his curious way of defending himself: “I was never asked about the details of the claim” which is not only a lie but trying to be too cute by half by playing word games. Neil Mitchell and other journalists asked him earlier so why choose this tactic? It doesn’t pass the pub test nor any other test for that matter.

I’m glad the prick has brought some of the opprobrium on himself.

At least he didn’t call the dead raped victim a lying cow.

They could waste money on an inquiry, set up a whitewash like the Victorian government did, would that make everyone happy?

Do we really need an inquiry every time someone makes accusations, would it only look into Porter or other senior MPs who have been accused but never acquitted also?

I heard a Police Spokesman today say that if the alleged Victim had not suicided it is still very unlikely they would have prosecuted the case, there was just not enough there to make a case.

I saw an article recently about young women sharing their stories in an online space about how they were sexually assaulted at school. Disturbing stuff.

Bullshit of the highest order
I wouldn’t apply to be Porters defence Lawyer. With an argument like that they’re likely to reintroduce the death penalty or castration

You must have hit your head again if you think I'm extreme right wing or even a Liberal supporter. :P

Enjoy your time in freedom.

Would it be as 'independent' as Victoria's HQ inquiry, using the governments own lawyers to run it to ensure nothing was actually uncovered?

Stui. Mate, no-one, and I mean no-one takes your endless protestations of not being right wing seriously. (Well, Eddie probably thinks you are a bit pink, but Eddie thinks Craig Kelly is a socialist and Tony Abbott is a screaming drag queen.)

I suspect that you really, honestly believe that you are not right wing. That's not so hard to understand when most of your friends are Eddies or hard-right gun nuts, and your information diet consists of Sky TV and Murdoch rags. Against that context, you are indeed not right wing. But in any sensible, normal or balanced or typical Australian context, you are unquestionably right wing. Not centre-right and not the extremist hard-right either, just straight down the line right-wing.

That's fine. We all have our positions and our views on life. Just stop pretending, OK?

Ahhh Tannin me ole cobber, you paint a pretty stereotype. :P

No pretending or protesting, I know my views and how they align. Some are right, some left and some centre, it depends on the topic. You and others believe what you want to believe, I just do think it's quite hilarious when WPT thinks I'm an extreme right winger

BTW, I'd watch more ABC than Sky and I watch F all ABC.

Pfft, all you wannabe radicals (right or left) can come back when you stop voting for one or the other of the vanilla major parties (Stui's Clive Palmer dalliance notwithstanding). If you're not on an ASIO watchlist I don't want to hear from you.

It's funny how if you dare suggest anything other than ScoMo is the Devil and Danny Boy is a god that you get labelled as a right wing, sky watching, Murdoch reader.

I honestly can't remember the last time I watched Sky News.

I've watched it for the news, never watched any of their shows.

Pre Covid if there was something happening it was that or ABC News
