Thing is, we won't really know how it all works for a while yet. We're going to have a few billion people part of this clinical trial.
Until we get some solid data over a period of time we won't know how long the vaccine lasts, whether you need to get a shot once only, annually, 6 monthly, quarterly etc. We don't know whether or to what degree people can still catch it and potentially pass it on without getting too sick themselves or how mutations will impact the effectiveness.

Best guess though is that things won't be returning to the way they used to be any time soon.

If history is any guide I expect that Victorians will either be in lockdown or banned from going interstate just before Easter.

Victoria was ? Is the first place in the world to have mandatory nurse:patient ratios: that is solely due to the State Secretary of the ANMF who used the Twice elected Premier of Victoria Daniel Andrews like a glove puppet.
Edited for accuracy. :P
Which puts ur claim of cutting acute health by the Andrews Government to bed. Cuts were made but not as you wrongly claimed as totally in Acute Health.

This was a pre election promise to nurses. He put money into a lot of acute health.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-03-15/ ... l/13249196

Looks like the local Liberal yokels are also concerned about the prospect of a complete electoral rout occasioned by the incumbent Victorian Government's handling of the pandemic:
Mr O'Brien has faced constant criticism for failing to land a blow on Premier Daniel Andrews during the pandemic.
...

Victorian Liberal MPs have told the ABC the timing of the spill has been accelerated by the recent wipe-out of the Western Australian Liberals, who only secured as few as two seats in the state's election at the weekend.

Many are worried that the party faces a similar fate in Victoria without a change in its leadership.

Buy new glasses or just learn how to read. I did not claim anything of the sort.

I said he neglected health in his first term. I didn't specify Acute nor did I say he made cuts. Your over active imagination did that.

The only things he did in his first term was interfere in the EA negotiation to ensure the ANMF got what they wanted.

O'Brien failed to land a blow. Sure.

O'Brien's loopy rivals landed three or four big hits which will be cause lasting pain - I never seen a mob of politicians so amazingly good at uppercutting themselves in the face before. I mean, Smith could win prizes for it.

The Vic Liberals are a basket case. They won't win with O'Brien. If they can unify behind someone who can hold Andrews to account for presiding over the worst Covid response in the Country then they can at worst hold ground and at best gain ground. I have NFI if they have anyone capable of doing that.

They still wont win but they can potentially avoid a WA style wipeout if they can get their shit together.

If they don't provide a viable option to all the people pissed off with Dan then a WA style wipeout is very much on the cards.

Yep, we're pretty safe from lockdowns and stupid decisions for at least the next 6 weeks, should be a pretty normal Easter and school holidays.

Who knows, we might even get someone with some sense who allows ANZAC Day to go ahead in Victoria this year!!!

Actually, how about Stui Magpie for Victorian Liberal leader? He'd be an improvement on most of them. Smarter, more in touch with the electorate, very likely better looking too.

Eddie could try out for the NSW Nationals. Wouldn't be much of an improvement on Bordello, but he'd fit right in. Put him in a suit and who'd know the difference?
