Good point “slangman” - selfish teams do not win premierships. The Tigers are not that good individually but bust their arses trying to make team mates better - they chase, harass, pressure, fill space, run, spread, block, shepherd, sacrifice so that the team benefits..... all things being equal that’s the difference between contenders and champions and the key to flag success.slangman wrote:“First Crack” highlighted the poor work rate of WHE, Daicos and Thomas in that last passage of play.glasseyevfx wrote:didn't notice Sier problem but saw the review on WHE by the commentator when he let Rich run uncontested to kick the big goal in the last.
They were walking instead of running towards the centre square and therefore weren’t in the structural grids position that they were required to be in during that play.
Fundamental errors like that are destroying the fantastic work of others.
Unfortunately, players such as Sier, WHE, Daics, Grundy et al don’t fully appreciate this concept yet and are still looking to enhance ‘self’ over ‘team’....however this may be as a consequence of lack of self confidence, security, or pressure.
If you don’t believe me check it out for yourself - the evidence doesn’ lie.
