GENIUS!
I’d JUST about give him a pass on Mayne, but I’d rather Stevo was in.
And mining Camo’s rich vein of form is a MASTERSTROKE!
Sigh.

Can someone show me any social Media of Steele Sidebottom celebrating the win on the weekend?

His twitter has been dorminant for over a year, so i Checked out his Instagram and nothing..no posts. Last post was about Reid Retiring.

Can anyone find a social media Post from him about the great win on the weekend? I mean gezz even Dane Swan still posts about the pies.

Hes one of our Vice Captains isnt he? It doesnt have very good optics IMO.

AFL players should spend less time on social media

Guy just had a baby, let him enjoy his time with his family instead of trying to drum up conspiracy theories and stalking him

Don't want him doing a Bob Murphy anyway

Probably catching up with sleep at every opportunity he has. Those who remember caring for an infant or have very young children will understand.

SIDEY... makes things happen

Post by skaman »

Make no mistake. We miss tin arse when hes not playing. He brings players into the game. The ultimate playmaker and gear changer. X-factor in the middle and around the ground. Hes that important. . Keeps going same as first half .. we win.
Enjoy yourself. Its later than you think!

Thoughts on Sidey?

Post by orie »

He escapes a bit of criticism but I am not happy with some of the stuff he gave us last week. On top of that, I am not sure why they kept him in the leadership group after last years antics. Whatever the reason for that episode, it was a terrible look from a leader.

Is anyone else critical of his performance these last couple of weeks?

Let keep an eye on him from now until Anzac Day. 3 big games for us.

- Giants game he should turn it on
- WC game will be very difficult for him ( Steeles bogus team )
- Ess Anzac day ( I expect a close to BOG performance )

For now, he escapes any criticism through respect.

Very critical of him, he has been extremely overrated for a number of years, hasn't delivered for a while and is very easily taken out of games.

Plus his stupid dinky little kicks all the time are frustrating, can't remember which game it was when Pendles was running free at hf and all he had to do was kick it to him or in front of him and he tried a stupid kick that dribbled off his foot and went less distance than a typical Grundy hitout!

I can see that.

But your talking about a player who is a natural fwd and has been asked to play midfield since 2012

49.26 points and how many goal assists during 2010-11 as a 20 year old? Maybe Sidey could be used a little better under a wiser coach

Funnily enough 2012 was the Buckley take over in which Steele become full-time mid

He is not the only attacking threat Buckley keeps away from the Goals..

Sidey was one our best in his first game back against the Blues. He's had one quiet game since. A bit early to be questioning his worth just yet imo.

^

WC has been able to tag him succesfully

It's harder to tag a fwd though because they can really damage you with 3 kicks

I tend to agree. Sidey was not his usual self in Round 2 and was still not quite right last week. What disappoints me most is that after his late start to the season. Only Collingwood can have a player depart the season early - miss finals - and sill start the year with an injury. It beggars belief. He is an accumulator, to be sure, but his disposal efficiency and decision-making has been well down so far this year.
