Amen dyso. If the crop of picks from last year's draft all turn out to be duds, that's his legacy...

Been a great servant since the day he first strolled into the joint.
Very pleased he will at least leave the game with a premiership medallion.
Durable too.

Come on Pies, turn it on and find another level for Sidey. He cops too much criticism because his best is so good, when he has an average game he looks terrible. But his average games are still better than most other players! Hope his missus finds a babysitter so he can get a good sleep Friday night too.

His average games are still pretty good, but its not fair to expect too much from a player that's played 250 games, including a relative shitload of finals; he should be the icing, not part of the cake.

Damn shame

When he runs out for his 250th game, he will equal the games played by Peter Daicos and Lou Richards.

There will then just be 11 Collingwood players who have played more games for the 'pies than him. If he continues uninjured for the rest of the season, he will pass Harry Collier, Gavin Brown, Dane Swan, Nathan Buckley and Jock McHale and be level with Scott Burns.

My heartfelt gratitude and congratulations to Steele Sidebottom, who has been a gun for us throughout his career. There is nothing more I love than watching Steele celebrating, with a triumphant and infectiously wide smile across his face. His smile has been an icon of Collingwood for a long time now.

Let's hope his career can be extended by identifying someone who can competently cover his role in the middle, allowing him to go forward

Would be a real shame to lose a player who could well be Top 4 in games played for the Pies

Should have won the Norm Smith but they threw out 2 lots of votes that had him BOG and left in 2 (Dermie and some other numbnut) who did not give him a vote. So Much for my 800-10 for the medal you dimwits.

Congrats to Steele on reaching 250 games.

Still remember his debut against the Saints on the Monday night in 2009 when we lost by 15 goals. Looked like a good player from the beginning.

Will always have the honour of being a Collingwood premiership player.
