So someone filled out the forms for you. Sure beats wading through all that BS yourself.stui magpie wrote:geezus, what a lot of messing around.
Covid shot: I walked into the mass vacc site, produced medicare card and drivers licence, got asked and answered some questions, easy peasy. 10 minutes after walking in the door I was sitting down for the 15 minute post vacc rest while someone walking round with a tablet booked me in for the second shot.
No forms no bullshit.

What's actually funny is I thought I'd try to get the flue jab this morning, went to 2 different pharmacies, no dice, I'd have to make an appointment.

I think you're reading that wrong Dave.
The fact check was about some far quits spreading stories that people who'd been vaccinated could shed virus from the vaccine and infect others. That's not possible because that's not how any of the vaccines being used in the USA (or here) work. They don't contain live virus, you cannot infect anyone.
If you're fully vaccinated it seems it is still possible to catch the virus and if you do catch it, possible to infect others.
Possible but far less likely to happen if your vaccinated than if you're not vaccinated.

Sounds similar to here. Without the precautionary wait time at the end it would be 5-10 mins walk in, walk out.Tannin wrote:So someone filled out the forms for you. Sure beats wading through all that BS yourself.stui magpie wrote:geezus, what a lot of messing around.

In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

I actually did make an appointment, but on the phone the pharmacist said "OK, 3 o'clock, but don't worry about it if you are early or late, just so long as you don't come at 9am or last thing before closing time".

Uh Oh.
2 local cases in the north.

Epping Woolert area. News to come, suspicion is that they've been picked up after they realised the frack up with the wrong Epping Woolies and people started getting tested.
Risk factor is, if it's linked to the bloke at Epping, those people have potentially been roaming round for yonks while infectious.
Of further interest, it was indirectly the waste water testing that picked this up.

They reported scraps on Friday, but there shouldn't have been any.
