I just ducked over to Greensie to grab some mini cigars from the tobacconist as I won't be able to get any otherwise. FMD we're a compliant bunch.

Just about everyone was wearing a mask, outside. That doesn't come in til Midnight.
Staff were watching people sign into Coles using the QR code system or writing down on a sheet if they couldn't do that. That wasn't in place 4 days ago.

I really tossed up doing a runner to NSW like lots of others, but I can do this for a week, particularly in winter, but there's no chance on gods earth I'm doing another 3 month lockdown

I noticed quite few people wearing masks outside on my way to work. I had mine on anyway as I was getting on the bs & train (can walk but it was raining).

All set up to work form home next week.
Am currently on a temp contract until mid July so just have to complete WFH check list for temp agency and take photo of home office set up.

Red headed chick is staying down in Geelong - she lives on campus at Deakin and comes home at weekends. She is Ok with that as she has a couple of big assignments to complete and swat vac is coming up.

Hubby and I have both had AZ jabs. Only side effects have been a sore arm and a flu like headache - took some Neurofen and all OK.

Restauranats, pubs and cafes can do takeaway. Some retail remains open. Childcare is open. Approved professional sporting events will proceed but without crowds. Schools to remote learning (mostly). Higher education remote only.
I find it Stupid that Childcare can stay open but not Schoold

C'mon Dave, if there's 1 thing that this Victorian State government is truly gold standard in, it's pointing blame elsewhere.

It was SA's fault that the guy caught covid in their HQ
It's Morrisons fault, just because
It's people's fault for not getting vaccinated when they could

blah blah blah.

Supplies of the vaccines are clearly here and available, people weren't going in until the past few days when numbers spiked. They've now said that people aged 40-49 can get the pfizer shot, they could have done that earlier, it was their call.

Fact is, what they've shown is that if a case gets loose they do not have the ability to manage it without resorting to state wide lockdowns.

Credit for trying, they get an A for effort but an F for execution.

Here's a useful guide to the restrictions from the ABC, with pictures and drop down menus. I have no view about its accuracy but it's certainly more fun to play with than the usual dour lists.

Enjoy.

Typical, the strippers and sex workers cop it again.

Imagine the blokes in the brothel, just gets in before midnight, frantically banging away then on the stroke of midnight security comes in, picks him up and starts carrying him toward the entrance while he screams "Nooooo, just a few more minutes"

20,000,000 people in the UK have had the AZ clot shot, you have more chance of dying from a car accident than from the AZ shot.

I'm booked in for the second AZ shot in July, I'm thinking about seeing if I can get in earlier. The sooner I'm fully vaccinated the sooner I can thumb my nose at these restrictions
