This won't drag out much longer, Dan wants to get re-elected next year. Anyway, in 6 weeks I'll be fully vaccinated if I don't bring the second jab forward.

After 2nd Jab we are lot less chance of Getting Sick BUT sadly we still be in Lockdown

anyone wondering, the needle didnt hurt, but then im not a needle sook, last night i was knackered by 7 and went to bed to watch telly, but i couldnt sleep sunday night, thinking about getting it, then hubby woke me up at 5.30am when he got up and i didnt get back to sleep, im ususally up til midnight so 7 is a tad early! tossed and tuned til 11 with a mild fever, woke up a tad tired in the body but not the mind,

My experience was I didn't even feel the Covid shot, unlike the flu jab which I felt but could hardly say it hurt.

I was a bit NQR on the day too, but next day and onward all fine.

Well done you though, enjoy the fact that Bill Gates now knows everything you think.

I've gone down 2 shirt sizes, XXL to L.

Thank Covid for working from home, I'm using the old business shirts for video calls and keeping the new smaller ones for going to the office. I tried on a suit the other week, thought I'd go into the office dolled up, it fitted like a circus tent so I went back to Chinos.

I'm worried, last year was really, really bad for doing nothing even with some exercise. I found I was eating out of boredom.

Now I've got an office job I'm walking to walk, walking to the post office, get lunch etc during the day and really only eating at lunch and that managed to keep me steady weight wise. But back in lockdown the other day I found myself raiding the fridge all day long, no more walking to work, I'm sitting in online meetings eating. Bad, bad habits that desperately need to stop. I'm scared to weigh in this week.

My very expensive firefighting gear that has already been replaced once through downsizing is very snug now, basically have to empty my pockets to wear it, don't really want to have to get that resized, again!!!

Any hints yet out there as to how much longer the lockdown might be extended? Amazed that we're already at Wednesday and still getting no official indication as to whether there even will be one (though most people seem to agree there will be).

I'm guessing they'll want to see at least a couple of days of no community cases.

If I was placing bets, i'd put money on us being locked down past the public holiday. I was pretty close when I predicted how long it would take for us to be locked down again.

It’s amazing when they couldn’t lift mask wearing restrictions on the spot, they had to give people a few days notice to remove their masks...Yet here we are in lockdown and they can’t give us any notice as to what will be happening tomorrow...

They’ve managed to throw in a couple of regional exposure sites so they can keep the whole state locked down, very convenient after the police said no to the ring of steel...

Very interesting comments from the head of the Police Association, saying what everyone knew, the ring of chicken wire only deterred the stupid people and put an unnecessary drain on Police resources.

The geographic reality is that it is impossible to fence off the whole of Victoria from Greater Melbourne. There are just too many roads, too many alternatives. You'd have to devote the entire Victoria Police force to guarding the border points, leaving crime unchecked across the state, and even then it wouldn't be that hard to sneak through.

Compare with, for example, the South Australia - Victoria border, which has only a dozen or so places to cross. Or the Victoria NSW border, most of which is a river with not many bridges. Or coastal New South Wales (the part of the state where nearly everybody lives), which is geographically constrained by the Pacific Ocean on one side and the impassable Blue Mountains on the other with only a handful of through-roads crossing them.

The Police Association, by the way, is the most spectacularly anti-social self-interested rogue union in the state, far more powerful than the CFMEU or the MUA, and not nearly as honest. In this statement, however, they are correct.

7 day extension for melbourne Metro, some reductions for Regional Vic and a few things loosened for Metro

no ring of steel, but no travel to regional victoria for the long weekend (assuming restrictions are off then)

My plan to go to Toc for the long weekend still looks feasible, I'll just need to take my groceries with me and stay away from people.
