The Collingwood football club is always the subject of rumor and innuendo
Every day I pick up the paper I read that every player up for grabs is coming to Collingwood.
It is getting so rediculous that we have told the papers to stop doing so. It is lazy reporting. It is also a case of player managers using Collingwood as a bartering tool as players see Collingwood as an attractive destination.
I will not be posting in the future about trade deals until after the trading period is over.
Except this once.
Chris Tarrant IS a contracted player for the next three years and IS a required player. Full Stop.
Just in case I'll say it again. Chris Tarrant IS a contracted player and IS required.
This view has been confirmed to me by Coach Michael Malthouse "over my dead body" was his reply, Football director Neil Balme and CEO Greg Swann.
No player is draft proof these days and the fortunes of the club will always be the priority but take my word for this one.
I hope this puts to rest the speculation.

I guess we needed Eddie to come and tell us what should have been the bloody obvious to us all. To think we had Chrissie Boy as trade bait....Here U have it Mike/Scottie Davo re our posts citing Taz as possibly being effected by all this craporama and innuendo, I guess it takes eddie to come and clear the air once and for all. Perhaps he 'toooooooo' thought it might be a little
destabilizer in our great club and it might be of benefit too set the record straight.
