The government’s changed the recommendation for AstraZeneca about four times now.First it was recommended for everyone, then it was recommended that everyone under 50 not take it,then they extended that ban for anyone under 60,now it’s allowed for everyone again, providing GP’s are given indemnity. No wonder people are confused about the vaccine roll out and don’t know what to do.

It's not that hard.

It's funny how when circumstances change, recommendations can as well.
The states have lobbied Morrison to allow the back supply of AZ to be used. Plenty of people are happy to use it so putting the indemnity in place for the GP's just safe guards them.

https://www.news.com.au/national/politi ... a277670c63Barnaby Joyce has copped a $200 fine after being dobbed in by a member of the public for failing to wear a mask.
Police say the newly-returned Deputy Prime Minister flouted NSW’s mask mandate as he up filled his car at a petrol station in Armidale on Monday.
The Deputy Prime Minister was inside for less than a minute, but an eagle-eyed member of the public noticed the violation and called Crime Stoppers.
NSW Police checked CCTV footage of the incident before issuing Mr Joyce with a $200 fine.
Fairly petty behaviour I'd think, calling Crimestoppers to dob someone in for not wearing a mask.
Still, that's the second time now that Bananaby has got in strife for not wearing protection.

I don't think any prominent politician would get away with doing this, but it does seem like a lot of these rules have been weaponised. You read about someone being dobbed in by a "member of the public" for breaking COVID rules and just know that it has to be some aggrieved ex-spouse, or former friend who has a vendetta, or something. Of course some will say they only have themselves to blame for flouting the law, but I'm not sure how I feel about a society in which dobbing is a successful means to settle personal scores or (in this case) take public figures down a peg.

There's a lot of petty people out there.
Anyway, for those younger people who can now get the AZ Clot Shot, here's a good read about the actual lack of risk.

You have roughly the same chance of dying from the vaccine as you do of being struck by lightning.

Even more petty of the police to actually issue an infringement notice over cctv footage for such a minor infringementstui magpie wrote:https://www.news.com.au/national/politi ... a277670c63Barnaby Joyce has copped a $200 fine after being dobbed in by a member of the public for failing to wear a mask.

But given we had over 100 days of Dan standing on the podium imploring people to dob in their neighbours to pay for Dan’s pay rise, it’s unfortunate what’s happened to Australia the last 12 months.

So after over 12 months of calling for lockdowns every time a case popped up they were finally right?watt price tully wrote:Top NSW & Victorian epidemiologists say what everyone else in Australia (apart from Stui and Eddiesmith) already knew: Berijiklian called the lockdown a week too late:

She played politics with the spread of the virus aided and abetted by Scotty from Marketing. It was obvious this delta strain had to be locked down hard early on. When they chose to do it the horse had already bolted.
You and your same ‘experts’ predicted doom and gloom over the Northern Beaches as well and were wrong as usual. Seems NSW seems have a far better strike rate than you and your biased ‘experts’.
A week before they called the lockdown they had one new case that day, yeah, no one outside of WA locks down over one case, even your hero isn’t that crazy…

I’m sure you would have a completely different attitude if Dan was the politician who was caught not wearing a mask.Somehow I don’t think you would be calling it petty or a minor infringement.eddiesmith wrote:Even more petty of the police to actually issue an infringement notice over cctv footage for such a minor infringementstui magpie wrote:https://www.news.com.au/national/politi ... a277670c63Barnaby Joyce has copped a $200 fine after being dobbed in by a member of the public for failing to wear a mask.
