Case Numbers won't start going down until Mid to Late Next Week at Earliest and we would need a Few Days of 0 Cases before they start easing the Lockdownstui magpie wrote:^
It'll go an extra 5 days to the end of the following Sunday to keep people home on the weekend. 10 days in total.

I am sorry you had to go through that, I really am and I'll never pretend that I know how you feel as that disrespects what you have and are going through.ronrat wrote:I sincerely hope you never have the problem I had when my father died and my mother could not see 2 of her 3 siblings. I was refused entry etc.. I pay tax and and a born Australian. To you I say two words and one starts with f and the other with you. What'sinaname wrote:Can't argue with that. Just get kit over with and then stop all international arrivals - except for returning citizens to live permanently. If people leave the country - they don't come back. No-one allowed for funerals or compassion reasons.
All I am saying is that our whole way of life is being threatened. The last time this happened was WW2. Just like the WW1 and WW2, people couldn't freely travel to mourn the loss of loved ones.
It doesn't matter what citizenship you have, or what taxes you pay....we are at war against this virus. That means things aren't the same as they were before. Sadly, it means shit decisions have to be made to preserve the close to normal way of life.
Otherwise, we live our life in lockdown, and that's no life.

They don't need days of zero cases, it depends where they are.Dave The Man wrote:Case Numbers won't start going down until Mid to Late Next Week at Earliest and we would need a Few Days of 0 Cases before they start easing the Lockdownstui magpie wrote:^

If they get 3 days of cases who have been in isolation the whole time they were infectious, back broken. You may get family still but no randoms.

Yeah, they had it shit no doubt, the people currently in Sth Africa and many other places have it worse now. That doesn't mean that people now can't be impacted compared to others now in the same place by lockdowns. What'sinaname wrote:Yeah, it's shit, it sucks. I get it. But a generation had to go through much worse.
Imagine living through the WW1 between 1914 and 1918, the Spanish Flu from 18-20 and then WW2 from 1939-45.
Hard lockdowns are just a blunt instrument used to cover and compensate for systemic inadequacies. Saying a lockdown worked because cases went to zero is akin to the old joke of the surgeon saying that the surgery was a success but the patient died.

She didn't. Sadly, Dan's f&^kup last year hurt. The virus should never have gotten that out of control given it wasn't the virulent Delta Strain. That was all on him.stui magpie wrote:Not gone and She didn't IMHO but try this instead, https://www.instagram.com/tv/CRVbLyxnLQ1/Dave The Man wrote:Video Gone but I guess he made a Idiot of Himselfstui magpie wrote:Meanwhile, the impact of lockdowns.

But this strain is a c*&t. You can't blame him for his response given the absolute clusterf*&k from Gladys Morrison.
