How about Glady and her Suppose Gold Standard for Covid. What'sinaname wrote:She didn't. Sadly, Dan's f&^kup last year hurt. The virus should never have gotten that out of control given it wasn't the virulent Delta Strain. That was all on him.stui magpie wrote:Not gone and She didn't IMHO but try this instead, https://www.instagram.com/tv/CRVbLyxnLQ1/Dave The Man wrote: Video Gone but I guess he made a Idiot of Himself
But this strain is a c*&t. You can't blame him for his response given the absolute clusterf*&k from Gladys Morrison.
NSW Cluster is Larger then what Melbourne was last year
Also what makes it worse she has seen what Happened in Victoria last year and Over Seas on how Bad Delta has Spread very fast overseas and still refuses to do a Proper Lockdown or done it when it 1st Started

See the graph, Vic exceeded 600 cases per day at the peak.

But that's ignoring that Sydney, not even all of NSW, but Sydney is in their first lockdown since the national lockdown because they have been able to succesfully contain outbreaks that have originated in Victoria and spread to NSW without the need for a lockdown.roar wrote:IF Victoria gets on top of the current outbreak by going into this quick lockdown while NSW keeps getting smashed, it will be seen by some as vindicating Dan's (and condemning Gladys') choices from the start. It just serves as another point to distract people from the array of Victoria's phuck-ups and lack of action.stui magpie wrote:I don't know why anyone could take pride in being good at doing lockdowns, doing a lockdown is a concession that they can't contain the virus in any other way.
Victoria meanwhile leads the country in lockdowns with 5, still the only state that actually implements statewide lockdowns as well with the other states limiting it to the Metro regions actually affected. Victoria leads the country in deaths and cases by a massive margin and total days in lockdown. none of which will ever be surpassed.
So to say Dan's standard is the way to go and Gladys was always wrong is a complete rewriting of history usually reserved for one poster...
Only stat Victoria isn't in front in would be amount of travellers they have accepted in hotel quarantine, they'd be running dead last there. So they've taken the least risk of any state yet had the most severe outbreaks.
Victoria shouldn't be congratulated for anything but condemned for their destruction as well as playing politics by refusing to limit lockdowns to the areas affected but going statewide because the regional areas don't vote for them so they get screwed over.
Even now the excuse is it's in regional Victoria, it's in bloody Geelong, same as last year but yet again they refuse to impose restrictions on Geelong, ALP heartland, and release the rest of Regional Victoria which is hundreds of kms away from the hotspots and haven't had cases in 15 months, if ever.

People still try and defend the Perth lockdowns, Brisbane's first lockdown and the Melbourne Valentines Day lockdown, in all 3 there were no cases during the lockdown period and it was deemed a success. In Perth and Brisbane's cases it never even spread past the original case, didn't even pass it on to the people they lived with! Melbourne locked down due to the airport worker who didn't even infect the people she spent 12+ hours working alongside.stui magpie wrote: Hard lockdowns are just a blunt instrument used to cover and compensate for systemic inadequacies. Saying a lockdown worked because cases went to zero is akin to the old joke of the surgeon saying that the surgery was a success but the patient died.
Yet the lockdown was needed...No, it was a complete overreaction. The fact there were no cases outside the original case or the contained circle doesn't prove the lockdown worked, everyone who was at risk was in quarantine yet the Premiers locked up millions more just in case.
That's why saying Gladys should have locked down when NSW had 2-3 cases is complete bullshit. The fact a super spread party happened on the 3rd day of cases was just bad luck. But typical it was obviously by some girl who had escaped the hell of Melbourne and decided to make Sydneysiders suffer like the hell she'd escaped from...(She may have been in Sydney longer than a year, who knows, but still you can't blame these daughters who escape to a far better state to get as far away from their parents as possible )

Beautiful lady i did maternity pics and baby pics for a couple of weeks back comes from South Africa, she showed me footage her dad took just 1klm from home, the supermarket looted and all the shops burnt, people running around with guns and machetes, she said its ok her folks are on a farm with guns.... then she showed me the one of the people banding together to save the streets from a gang. how in the **** is this still happening in this day and age?stui magpie wrote:Yeah, they had it shit no doubt, the people currently in Sth Africa and many other places have it worse now. That doesn't mean that people now can't be impacted compared to others now in the same place by lockdowns. What'sinaname wrote:Yeah, it's shit, it sucks. I get it. We've lost what we had.stui magpie wrote:Well that wasn't the desired reaction.
But a generation had to go through much worse.
Imagine living through the WW1 between 1914 and 1918, the Spanish Flu from 18-20 and then WW2 from 1939-45.
Hard lockdowns are just a blunt instrument used to cover and compensate for systemic inadequacies. Saying a lockdown worked because cases went to zero is akin to the old joke of the surgeon saying that the surgery was a success but the patient died.
I cant imagine going through that anytime.
little town i stayed it in Germany when we went to the Nurburgring is under threat, 16ks away the river has destroyed a town, the place is already ravaged by Covid, and yes, the damage from war is still apparent.
thing is though, do we need to compare? there is always someone worse off, others doing better. Ive lived through worse than lockdown, but its still a weight on my shoulders. Then i think of juniors best mate, fighting stage 4 and had to get a covid test today because they cant figure out why she has cold symptoms. the abused women trying to protect their kids from a caged animal of a husband, the families trying to live with an addict that cant get a fix.
the woman walking around brighton was a moron for sure, but then that her reality.
i think we need a separate us against them, whos fault is it? thread, and have one just for facts!!
lockdown sux, having covid would suck worse, thats why i really believe the bastards should be named and shamed. because people suck! just a little over? always got to get away with something, just because.
maybe, just maybe, if we all start doing the right thing, if we all just try to be a little more understanding, a little more kind, we might damn survive! eating our own will achieve nothing.
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!

In Victoria, 19 new local cases and no new cases acquired overseas.
- 47,606 test results were received
There are 54 active cases. The Government says that "The 19 new locally-acquired cases are all linked to the current outbreaks." If what they mean is that there is no unexplained community transmission, that would be a "good" thing.
