I thought we'd already long established that WA people are different and that popular politics doesn't make them right. The USA elected Trump didn't they?
Well they have lot shorter Lockdowns then NSW and Victoria as there Lockdowns work
Well given they’ve at least twice locked down over one case and the virus had never even spread to the persons housemates, I’m not sure if they work is the right terminology or they were completely unnecessary

Well it’s a question I’ve asked often after at least four lockdowns in Labor states have seen cases never spread past those already in isolation before the lockdown started, so were they successful or completely unnecessary?

Although of those 4 lockdowns, only Dan decided to lock down the entire state despite cases being limited to a very small geographical area

Your arguments are failing with this strain of the virus.

While Dan has made monumental cockups that everyone except WPT will agree, this time his State wide lockdown has been spot on. It's allowed the Government to determine where the hotspots are and what can be released and what can't be.

Gladys has spectacularly failed, in both her belief of the ability to use contact tracing but also in the belief that people would follow "advice". Granted, NSW numbers are not spiralling out of control, but they aren't improving either so she is putting NSW on an endless path of lockdown.

A bit different with the sizes of States, Melbourne is easily accessible from most big regional towns. The ring of steel didn't really stop anyone, if I remember correctly some posters on here flouted about how easy it was to get around them. There really is no stopping selfish people doing what they believe they are entitled to.

^ What's your source? Not doubting your figure, just wondering if there's some better new way of getting the data than waiting for it to emerge on NSW Health's twitter as Gladys speaks.

From the SMH's blog:
NSW has pleaded for contact tracing help from other states, as the system struggles to keep pace with the growing outbreak. The state made an “open request” for assistance during a meeting of Australia’s federal and state chief medical officers on Friday, with the Commonwealth, South Australian and Western Australian governments all agreeing to help but Victoria knocked back the request, as it works to trace growing case numbers.

In Victoria, 16 new local cases and 2 new cases acquired overseas (currently in HQ).
- 53,283 test results were received

The Government says that "The new locally-acquired cases are all linked to the current outbreaks."

53,283 tests yesterday in Victoria, presumably most of those from people exposed to people and places with confirmed positives

16 new positives

So, exactly how contagious is this thing again?

My logical brain is failing to comprehend.

thats not very helpful!! (and i have to say i have serious questions about his "logical" brain after watching a few games this season!!)

I for one fully support the lockdown, i dont even know which dirt bag its connected to, but around here its getting worrying. The netball stadium i used to just about live at is a level 1 hotspot, at least a couple of hundred young adults supposed to isolate for 14 days, including several people i know. plus down point cook hotspots everywhere (thankfully juniors sick friend tested negative) a kid junior used to sit for had a covid positive kid in year 12, hes in 8. the stadium is 1 klm from me, i almost popped into sanctuary lakes shopping centre but went to the town centre instead. being a tier 2 at the MCG was bad enough. its all too close to home.

as for the olympics, yep great idea, lets get exposed to some other weird strain!

And Ken spot on, you cant stop selfish people so where the hell will this end!
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!

Explains why he flaunted COVID rules with tennis

Doesn't explain why he got rid of Stephenson as both are cut from the same cloth.

The lack of comprehension says more about the facility of his "logical brain" than it does about the transmissibility of COVID. He should know better than to try to comment on things that are beyond him.
