Hello All,
Spider is not joining the Collingwood football Club.
Unfortunately Spider's asking for far to much money.
He is asking for $500,000 dollars a year.
He will be earning around that in his last two years of his contract at the saints.
Since word of this has come out, Sydney has started negotiations with him.
The word coming out of Sydney is that they would prefer to sign spider ahead of hall at this stage since c'wood dropped out.
Which leaves B.Hall to go to Optus Oval.
Heath Black has agreed to join c'wood so its just a matter of trading to get him.
He will join Brodie Holland who is a close friend.
Until next time

Good news about Heath, bad news about Spider.
If the Sydney rumour re Spider is true then Hall will most likely end up at Carlton. They may sack Fervola and take Hall. They will have to juggle a few players in the cap if Bradley and Silvagni play on but they are experts at that.
We may be Carlton's saviour. Porter will want $ and game time. I'm not sure when his contract expires but we should be in his ear talking up his asking price so that Carlton want to trade him.

Good Call from "the prez".
I hear your call about not counting our egs before they hatch.
There were circumstances as to why Gehrig changed his mind.
I won't go into detail but one was that His Mangager Ron Joseph was a close friend of Malcolm Blight, second was a large signing on fee.
Anyway things can change day by day I guess, but I do know that
Heath Black and Brodie Holland are close friends and that was part of the reason he has commited to the pies.
Obviously nothing is certain until trading starts and the deals are done, anyone can work that out.
I can only go on what was spoken to me that Heath has committed to us.
I can't give you a signed sealed and delivered message because that is not correct.
But I can give you a verbal committment from the player.
If he changes his mind then he has screwed us all.
The solomon issue has died a touch, the feeling around c'wood was initially of great interest, but solomon wants big money to move. At the back of c'wood's mind is that they are loath to match him up with Tarrant as both could get out of control.
The one thing that hasn't come out is that Solomon was on the grog after the Ess V Rich game.
In fairness to the pies and Solomon, Essendon are still in the finals so a decision on him would obviously come in trading week.
see you soon
