You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!
Clubs just can't turn adopt a 'no dickheads' policy when they have a top 5 selection in the draft. Otherwise they risk missing out on match winners like Martin or Franklin (not suggesting that either of these two are dickheads).
Sometimes the club just has to go ahead and pick the most talented kid and back the coaches and senior players to help the kid grow up as quickly as possible.
Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't.
It's easy in hindsight to say we should have taken Naughton, etc

K, if it had delivered a flag, I'm also thinking all the culprits may still be at the club. Naughton played 18 games in 2018, 23 in 2019. Only 2 goals, 1 behind in 2018, so maybe it was mainly down back. Then 32 goals, 27 behinds in 2019.
