Some more companies offering rewards/inducements for the Vaccinated.
If you’re a Telstra customer - and get fully vaccinated - the telco will reward you with 2,500 Telstra Plus Points - the equivalent of up to $25 in gifts - and enter you into a 100 million point major prize draw, details to come later in September
Virgin Australia is offering $150,000 worth of “prizes” for those who have had the double jab.
Meanwhile fully vaccinated private health members of Medibank will receive 1000 Live Better Rewards points from early September, the equivalent value of a $10 gift card.

Great fun today trying to communicate at the vaccine clinic with them all in full ppe.
I'm sure TP can relate, I just said yes, yes, yes when checking in...
No idea what I was agreeing to or confirming...
But then in the waiting area I said please come get me as I won't hear you and they were fantastic then the person administering the vaccine spoke slowly, clearly and happy to get close enough to be understood.
Only downside was they didn't book in the second vaccination and been unable to find appointments online at all. Hotline said try again in a week or 2!

I had mine done at Star Health/Prahran Town Hall. When I checked in for the 1st jab a booking was made for the next one s part of the process. Much less hassle. I also got a TXT message reminder for the 2nd booking the day before.

I went to the Austin, they were churning through the vaccinations with about 30-40 at a time. May have been partly my fault in there were QR code’s around but just assuming it went straight to booking system I did that. Maybe they’d have actually gone to a dedicated booking system for Austin 2nd jabs. Might even see if I can call them next week and see. But now it won’t let you book for 6 weeks, I’ve got plenty of time!!!Dark Beanie wrote:That's a nuisance.eddiesmith wrote:Great fun today trying to communicate at the vaccine clinic with them all in full ppe.

Ahh OK.
When you were in the post vac sitting room, there was 2 tables. One in front that called time, you can now leave and the one to their right which was where you booked your second appointment. The first one was supposed to direct you to the second one.

So for anyone whose thinking of going to the local pet shop for some Invermectin instead of getting a shot, maybe read this first then don't.

I've read that Dan will likely announce today that all truck drivers who go into Red zones (read any interstate truckie who goes to/through NSW.) will have to get vaccinated and will have 2 weeks to get the first one.
That's playing with fire.
There's a core of truckies who really aren't keen on getting vaccinated. Might be time to stock up on the bogroll and pasta.

Good about time, if you don't want to get vaccinated find another job, I have to be fully vaccinated to keep on working in some of the places that I go to. If I don't get vaccinated I will lose the work.stui magpie wrote:I've read that Dan will likely announce today that all truck drivers who go into Red zones (read any interstate truckie who goes to/through NSW.) will have to get vaccinated and will have 2 weeks to get the first one.
