Other than mental health considerations, there is no twist.

The only failure in agenda was our inability to secure a trade with GC for a top 10 pick.
We can blame the club for the desperate manner in which the "fire sale" was handled. Ideally we should've made the move a year earlier rather than a last minute rush.

We're awfully dumb when it comes to not showing our hand. The entire known world knew we were forcing Adam out the door so it completely destroyed his trade value and our leverage.
Definitely.
Fortunately Wright appears to be working hard behind the scenes, instead of publicly bumbling potential opportunities before we’ve got them over the line.

He might not even play next year.
Very True.
Hopefully it’s not as serious as the Beams situation.

That being said, would it clear his contract from our books?

There was a payout but even Kim Jong Gil doesn’t want to talk about it https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-ne ... 127ee4ea73

Dear me
Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!

The Grand Final will be the first time in a very long time I don't care who wins for the right reasons! Games like last year you wish no one could win, but this year it's a tough sell.

It'd be great to see Treloar win one, very well deserved, but I've also been hoping Melbourne would win it for most of the season.

But it's always funny when a team who finished 2nd last says a player is not required yet he can get a game for a team who finishes top 2...

Treloar will cost them the flag next week. Watch. He's never going to get a hard ball - it wasn't necessary tonight.

If Treloar was our 6th best midfielder maybe we’d be playing in a fortnight too

But Adam Treloar isn't good enough to get a game for Collingwood so apparently we've got more than 22 players better than him...

He got quite a few hard ball gets tonight.
But when you have mids like Liberatore, McCrae (Jack) and Bontompelli, you can actually play a role where your leg speed and dynamism on the outside is a major asset to the entire team. Unfortunately, under the reign of Bux, Adz was always thrown in to get the hard ball gets, when actually that should not have been his major assignment.
If we had had Adz in our team this year, we would have won several more games than we did. With jdg in the midfield, and Adz on the outside, we would have created some threats and given our young mids like Flynn and Bianco some structure.
And the sad part is that Adz would have liked to stay and done that.
But now, in retrospect, he is probably even happier playing in a GF next week.

Yep, agree on both points. He was important in all aspects tonight - outside run, kicking to advantage, direct scoring, successful tackles and digging the ball out from the bottom of packs. He worked so damn hard, running from end to end throughout the match. It was a superb turnaround from last week and simply great to see. He "stuck it up 'em" , using the words of Ted.

I thought Bevo was beautifully direct and honest in his assessment of those in the media who belittled Adz during the week. He said he found it disappointing and that several commentators were just plain nasty. This reminds me of certain posters here on Nick's, who have labelled Adz as virtually being a useless liability of a footballer. "Nasty" would be a mild assessment of their diatribe from my point of view.
