amazing game by Gawn.
You just can't believe his workrate. He has been wherever the ball is throughout the entire game. His third quarter was mind blowing...kicked 4 goals in the quarter, and several times was back in defence whenever Geelong ventured into F50. Astonishing at every level.
Petracca. Amazing performance. Could not be controlled, is this the next level above Dusty?
Reminds me of the 2010 Preliminary when we demolished geelong.

No, not watch and weep Grundy.Lazza wrote:How good is he? Gawn has reached superstar status tonight. Unbelievable.
Watch and weep Grundy.
Not to watch and weep, but to understand.
Understand how he can connect with our mids.
And for our mids to understand how to destroy an opposition with a dominant ruckman.
Not wishing in any way to detract from Gawn's incredible performance. It was glorious to watch. But it was not in fact an individual effort. It came on the back of a dominant midfield display of quite unparallelled energy, and an elite level of synergy with Gawn.

In all honesty, tonight has seen the gap in quality between Gawn and Grundy pwiden to Grand Canyon levels. As a one eyed Collingwood fan I hate to say this but I find it difficult to believe that Grundy can reach the levels that Gawn has.
Not too sure that it was the contract that initiated his horrific loss of form, confidence and dominance but whatever the reason, the reality is that Grundy is a class below Gawn and a shadow of his former self.

Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!
