You make a good point duggieboy. I think that says more about Gawn than about Grundy. Posters also confuse the issue about his salary and criticism of him. I couldn’t care less about what he earns. My concern is that we don’t seem to be getting value for the money. Grundy is inconsistent like most players but being a ruckman he doesn’t get away with it unlike others. However I see clear skies ahead under McRae, mainly because I’m expecting a couple of gun midfielders to come in and that will make a difference. He will appreciate some talented clearance players making him look good.duggieboy wrote:^^ Lazza I guess Gawn is on a lot less coin than Grundy tho - interesting comparison on value for money
Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!

It is a balancing act. We need to continuously improve the team through the methods available to do so. We need to be able to get the talent to mould them into a finals team. This can be a gradual process as long as we are heading in the right direction towards the ultimate prize.

Clearly I know nothing about football.RudeBoy wrote:Even if they recalled Teddy Whitten and Doughie Hawkins, I couldn't see them beating Port this week.
I'm not going to make any more bold predictions, but I hope that the Dogs can beat the toffs in the Granny. I like the culture they have built at the Dogs under Beveridge.

Still amazed that Philips is now a gun on high coin when he was such a whipping boy when he played for usBig T wrote:Does that include treloar Stephenson PhilipsRd10.1998_11.1#36 wrote:A few but half the squad is 22 and under... and we only have 4 players contracted beyond 2022Haff wrote: Still have back ended contacts etc from our crack at 2018.
Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum
No rumour to report, rather than an opinion. I wonder if Brett Bewley is worth a look to fill a spot on a wing. Recently delisted from the Dockers. I was a fan of his back at Williamstown. Possibly a bit of a money ball type pick up which seems to be a way forward with the current salary cap restrictions.
I don't know much about him, but I suspect he'd end up being a list clogger, given that we currently have a host of wingers on our list. We should only recruit to fill gaps on our list mo.Rick wrote:No rumour to report, rather than an opinion. I wonder if Brett Bewley is worth a look to fill a spot on a wing.
