At this stage nobody knows what impact McRae persona has on both the young and the old in our stable plus what style of game will he introduce

If we don’t get what we desire this off season let’s see what Fly can do with what he has then build on it

You make a good point duggieboy. I think that says more about Gawn than about Grundy. Posters also confuse the issue about his salary and criticism of him. I couldn’t care less about what he earns. My concern is that we don’t seem to be getting value for the money. Grundy is inconsistent like most players but being a ruckman he doesn’t get away with it unlike others. However I see clear skies ahead under McRae, mainly because I’m expecting a couple of gun midfielders to come in and that will make a difference. He will appreciate some talented clearance players making him look good.

It is a balancing act. We need to continuously improve the team through the methods available to do so. We need to be able to get the talent to mould them into a finals team. This can be a gradual process as long as we are heading in the right direction towards the ultimate prize.

Craig has already said he wants to see what we have and then introduce a style that suits our needs

Now that’s interesting I think

Save some biccies and picks and get Ben King at the end of next year (OOC) and build around him.

Don't build a team to have a tilt then make last minute half arse efforts to find a power forward with pennies and promises like last time.

Clearly I know nothing about football.

I'm not going to make any more bold predictions, but I hope that the Dogs can beat the toffs in the Granny. I like the culture they have built at the Dogs under Beveridge.

Still amazed that Philips is now a gun on high coin when he was such a whipping boy when he played for us

No rumour to report, rather than an opinion. I wonder if Brett Bewley is worth a look to fill a spot on a wing. Recently delisted from the Dockers. I was a fan of his back at Williamstown. Possibly a bit of a money ball type pick up which seems to be a way forward with the current salary cap restrictions.

I don't know much about him, but I suspect he'd end up being a list clogger, given that we currently have a host of wingers on our list. We should only recruit to fill gaps on our list mo.
