Chol reported to be going to GCS so if true Tuggers are losing him and CCJ

Probably eliminates any interest GCS may have had in Mason too

^^ Geeze Id hope his list strategy / analysis wasn't as simple as that.
I mean throw a group of fringe player names on the table, add one of our oldest players and mix Sidebottom in ?

Almost like he'd have a Sidebottom agenda

LOL, I'm not the one proclaiming anything. Especially nothing as silly as a ceiling on potential earnings for Cat B rookies simply because they're Cat B rookies. A player should be paid what they negotiate. I'd imagine (for example) that if Jimmy Stynes turned up through the Cat B process in this day and age he'd be getting more than $500k at the height of his career. I'll leave it there.

Was McBean still at Richmond when McRae was coaching their VFL side?

Good question - they overlapped 1 year. 2016. He was delisted at the end of 16. He won VFL goal kicking in 15 (drew with 2 others)

It’s easy to assume because a player is kicking goals for fun in the SANFL, that they would have an AFL impact. That’s a reasonable assumption but we need to remember you can’t draft a player unless they nominate for the draft first. There are plenty of players out there happy to be the big fish in the small pond. Hard work at the highest level isnt for everyone.

Wilson is a Category B rookie and he gets an extra year under the new rule. and Tohill was the other one.

Faye isn't ready to be upgraded yet and as I understand doesn't need to be so we have 1 Cat B rookie position open.

Can we just swap Keane over to the Cat B? He's been an A category rookie til now because you can only have 1 Irish rookie as a Cat B, but he's eligible for the extra rookie year too and I'm pretty sure he was drafted the same year as Tohill?

Is there any real benefit? Can't shift players from the senior list to the rookie list like last year so limited benefit from a rookie list vacancy. Also, I think unlike Cat A rookies, still need to promote Cat B rookies before they can play seniors.

I was also thinking we'd add Faye to the Cat B list this year. Why do you suggest we wont?

Evidently we don't have to and we still maintain our claim on him, he's miles off and won't play next year so if you throw Keane over to Cat B it creates another spot on the list, unless they have a more advanced Cat B in mind to replace Tohill. Do you know the answer to the original question?

Unlikely he'll play seniors but I'd be very surprised if they couldn't get him ready for some VFL exposure. Only way I'd entertain him not being added this year is if he is allowed to play at Oakleigh chargers as an overage player and we can access him as a top up developmental player.
