185cm, inside mid, turns 27 in January. Has been delisted by St Kilda.

Can he be signed as a DFA, or will he need to go into the draft?
Dunstan has a lot of Jarryd Lyons factor about him…

I really wanna think he’d be a great get for free but his 51% kicking eff is worrying and Saints supporters are not that cut up about losing him.

^ If he can be signed as a DFA, I say go for it. Essendon supporters seem keen for him after his comments today on SEN.

I think Lipinski is the clubs #1 target. We'll see what happens after the GF. After that I think maybe Kreuger and Weideman will be targeted from that list.
If we can snaffle one or two of those KPPs for a bargain, then we are back in the hunt for the eight in 2022, but the cards are really going to have to fall our way to do so...
Love the potential building with those nominations; which are all worth looking at joining the list. I’m thinking we might do better than expected with players looking at playing under a better than average new look coaching team.
Swans hahahahahahahahahahaha professional chokers

So Lipinski kicks at 74%.

Dunstan can find it. Lipinski hasn’t had the opportunities in the middle.
I reckon as a team we need players who can kick as a priority.

Assume he’d be a freeby but I’d rather see McInnes, Brown, Brown, Or Rantall get those opportunities. I’d add that despite him being a free add I’m especially wary of adding players off career best years.

It’s easier to hit targets when you’re running free on the outside.

Fat more difficult when you’re the guy with his head over the pill and responsible for getting it out…

Fortunately/unfortunately we need both.

No, that's the club's job. Saying a player is overpaid is not blaming the player

Yes, agree with contested clearance players under more pressure. I mean Adams who is crucified on Nicks kicks at 58%.
And Ive not watched a lot of Dunstan, but when you speak to saints supporters they talk about his kicking inside 50 while not under pressure as their biggest issue and that his kicks "loop" are slow and dont have penetration.

If GW got everything he wanted it might look like this (if you classify Dib as a crumbing forward)

N Daicos Lipinski Kreuger Weideman Stengle Dib

“We’d like another midfielder, we’d like a couple of small forwards and potentially a couple of key forwards, so we’ve got a lot of spots that we would like to potentially fill." Graham Wright

Sam Weideman

“He’s an out-of-contract player, you’re interested in anyone who’s out of contract that can help your football club. “He’s a talented young forward.”
“At the moment, he’s probably behind two or three that are performing well in a team at the top of the ladder.” Graham Wright

Well he also said we continue to have cap issues we need to work through. I have no doubt we will fill a couple gaps but the rebuild will remain a canvass for 3 more years yet.

As for his comments on Weideman, Wright would make a great defence lawyer. He could find the good in Charles Manson.

Honestly I was off my tits most of that time... but in more pertinent news:

"Geelong tall Nathan Kreuger has told the Cats he wants to explore other opportunities during this year’s trade period with Collingwood expected to be his preferred destination.

He had interest from the Magpies at the end of last season but decided to remain with Geelong in an attempt to force his way into their star-studded line up but was unable to do so as they progressed through to their third consecutive preliminary final.

The Saints were also waiting in the wings to see whether he decided to remain at Geelong who made an offer to him last week however their main focus for 2022 remains on the national draft after two busy trade periods.

Industry sources said Collingwood views the 196cm tall as a potential forward option as they look to increase their marking options inside 50."
