What concerns me now is they have 13 cups, and may very well make up more ground on us next year, save for a Dusty led Tiger revival...

Well, the last quarter and a half from the point where Bont put them 3 goals up, effectively astonished us all!

I am going for the Dees, although I would also be happy if Adam Treloar kicks the decider for the Bulldogs.
Well, happyish; I think he kicked their last goal at least...
You got me there Piedsy...didnt remember I posted that!!
In fact, 2 days ago, I was convinced the WBs would win. I am very much in awe of Bevridge as a coach, and thought that he would win again.
I was posting several times that I was convinced of a bulldogs' victory.
Yeah, Adz got their final goal, quite a forlorn one in the circumstances...but certainly not his fault that the Wbs capitulated to a melbourne onslaught. It reminded me of the 2010 GF Replay. After a draw that never should have occurred, we demonstrated that we were by far the best team in 2010. Melbourne did the same tonight. It just didnt reach the point of a replay. It just reached the point of an equal scoreline at half time, and even a 19 point deficit during the 3rd quarter. Then melbourne clicked into gear, just like we did in the GF Replay.

I'm feeling very little joy at that thought...
If there’s a Richmond revival, then they’ll make up ground on us instead.
After all, both clubs are now on 13 flags along with Hawthorn.

Yeah, I like tradition... But we've got to decide which are the important traditions and which don't matter. e.g. in cricket, I'm all for day/night Tests. There the way more important "tradition" is that there is some sort of fair contest between bat and ball --- not the modern sh** where the pitches and balls are dead and the flat-track bullies just slog lots of worthless runs with their bazooka bats. (Not that night GFs solve any similar AFL problem.)
Yep that Max Gawn set shot the one was definately a goal it really should have been reviewed but alas the Dees won anyway but i did feel it was Anthony Rocca again and if they lose its due to the goal ump not calling it a goal the goal ump was not in position either and was on the other post not right under the ball. With that Rocca goal that was called a point again the ump was not right under the ball then either.
Thank god the dees won.
Bontempelli conceded Melbourne's star onballers, including Norm Smith medallist Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver, had been allowed to get out the front of stoppages far too easily when the game was on the line.
Really liked it and the dees blew the dogs apart from mid way through the 3rd quarter amazing unreal have not seen so many goals kicked was like 1 goal a minute and final quarter was unreal i think it was a record for a single quarter too and kept doning it till after the siren too.
Did not like the way the dogs played talk about cheap shots only stand out was the Bont for the dogs.
Dogs can not play against teams that just flow and keep kicking goals either they prefer it a tough slog and low scoring too thats their style.
The conditions suited Melbourne a heaps more due to their run and flow like game.
Dogs might have preferred a wet weather game.
Great to see Melbourne win their premiership and is a real relief too and a hell of a lot better then those dreaded tiger flags days they remind me of the Covid lockdowns too much and covid in general. I hate the tigers.
Congrats to the DEES.
Well Done.
Its a great feeling.
