Must get Stengle. If it doesn’t work out, so be it.

A haul of:

Nick Daicos
Lipinski
Kreuger
Johnson
Begg
Stengle

over the past 6 months would be a decent addition to the squad. At least 4 walk-up starts, changes the mix and dynamic of our team instantly. Throw in some Reef McInnes, Will Kelly, more Ginnivan…the squad is already taking shape away from the 2017-2021 failed squad. Likely bottom 4 finish beckons, but the seeds are being sewn for the next phase of (hopefully) success.
Hopefully Dib too

A big ducking no to Tyson Stengel, he still hasn’t learned from his coke bust apparently.

We should walk Brander to the preseason draft.

Handy pick up.

I said I would chase Brander 3 weeks ago ............But

1. Something is not being said about why Eagles want him out. I mean they are looking for something in return but if they dont get it they will just delist him. If thats the case we could get him as a delisted FA IF he wanted to come to us which Im not sure he does.

2. Silvagni when asked about him this morning was a bit hesitant on him - basically questioned his toughness.

3. I think Eagles would be happy as a straight swap for SPS but will probably throw in some late picks with him.

Marty Hoare on the outer at the Dees. Too romantic an option?

^^^^

I have watched him at VFL level and was impressed. I was disappointed when he left and I’ll be rapt if he returned, even to improve our depth.

^^^ Never thought he'd make the transition to AFL. Too short to play as a genuine KPD, too slow to play as a 3rd tall. Prefer we persist with Wilson and Madgen.

It's an odd situation being played out with Dunstan whereby we have a player not wanted by his club but one who received 11 Brownlow votes in 2021 which was the second most of any Saint (and the equal of any Collingwood player).

As I said. Odd.

Lochie O'Brien reportedly on the outer at the Scum for the second year in a row. Grew up a Collingwood supporter.

Very similar attributes ( and weaknesses ) to Jay Rantall.
Not sure we need two of them

Interesting that Lochie O'Brien was pick 10 in 2017. His bio states long left foot kick, high endurance and high training standards.
If we picked him up cheap he might be worth a crack.
