Not bad for starting off with a packet of chips in the kitty
Looks like you have deducted the old F / S discount from pick 3.
F / S discount used to be 25 % but it’s now 20% reduction ( ie 1780 points odd )

No doubt an important aspect of the strategy was to accumulate a young core group as quickly as possible.
We cleared the decks by hook or by crook, and reset in the 2020 draft. We traded out 2021 because it would have been wasted on a player who we can get using points, not position.
Anyway, that's our story. Ignore the goldfish, and let's see how the chapter ends after next year's national draft.
Great call. With the recent addition of future trading, it does necessitate valuing
a club's trade performance over a 2-3 year period.

It would appear I made the shameful mistake of trusting Fox Sports, good pick up
If a bid for Daicos comes at pick 1, the Magpies must use 2400 draft points. At pick 2, that’s reduced to 2014 points, and at pick 3 it’s 1627 points. If they don’t have enough points, they would go into draft deficit, pulling their 2022 first-round pick down the order to make up for it.
The mystery 3rd player: I wonder if they are offering pick 22 for Lipinski and Richards? Works out to pick 40 and 41 if you split them.
Pay for Daics and Dib with rubbish picks and send Kreuger to the PSD

Great opportunity for Pendles to commence his Coaching career before further 'spreading his wings'!
Fly if he tried even his upmost could not have picked a better on field assistant
He may not retain captaincy but that won’t change the immense knowledge he can pass on to the kids

Interestingly he said we could hold pick 22, see where Daicos is nominated.
If pick one, we use it and it gives us picks in the back end which should all come in as significant number of picks wont be used.
If he is not called pick one, immediately trade it out on the night. Can imagine this would be pre-arranged.
I’m guessing if they did take it to the draft, established they didn’t need it cause J H F was called first, then you would likely give it up for a future second rounder. # 22 would be pretty desirable on the night and if we did trade out for a future, then we would pretty much have our 2022 draft hand back intact ( which would make the “ experts “ comments even sillier )
The key to pick 22 is whether Collingwood actually know where Daicos will be called out. If they don’t know, it restricts the options available to them but if they do know and it’s not #1, then a heap of opportunities open up to include #22 elsewhere both in trade week or on the night
MJ23 - what’s your best guess for where the Daicos bid comes ?
