Would love Wright to ask for Western Bulldogs first pick (say 17) from 2022 draft and Lipinski for our Pick 22 and Pick 58 (1115points toward Darcy's kid).

Having, say picks 10 & 17 in the 2022 draft could be wrangled to a top 6 pick...
I like that very very much

Better to get St Kilda's first rounder, it'll be top 10 for sure.

@CalTwomey

Collingwood has traded pick 41 for Nathan Kreuger and pick 55 from Geelong. The first player changes club for the trade period. The Pies have opened talks with the Bulldogs on a deal for Patrick Lipinski as well.

Is this GW knocking off the easy shit quickly so that he can focus on something/someone over the next week or so?!

Looks like early picks in this years draft are in high demand as clubs look to the kids to to ease their salary caps. As it currently stands, it wouldn’t take much more tweaking to match any Daicos bid WITHOUT using pick 22 and that includes Daicos at pick # 1. Options that include gathering / holding onto more easy points include Lipinski via PSD, trading out a couple fringe players and taking advantage of the points deficit buffer.

I don’t see how we can afford another decent player on our books, so Im hoping we trade our current 22 out for a late future first / early second rounder. That would give us two likely top twenty picks in 2022 ( one early and one very late ) and set us up for any number of options in 12 months time. With new coaches, ideas, Krueger and Lipinski, I would prefer to spend the next 12 months better understanding how we look and then using those two 2022 picks accordingly.

Hmmm.... rookie-list at best.
Just need to keep developing Keane. He has a lot of potential, which isn't the word we want to hear but he's a big unit, fearless and just needs the edges polished.

Jetta will also work alongside Justin Leppitsch, Brendon Bolton and Scott Selwood in a new-look football department that was revamped after the departure of long-serving senior coach Nathan Buckley.

I could be wrong but I thought Scott Selwood has left Collingwood??

He's a Cat B, Wilson is our other one (you are allowed 2 Cat B and 6 Cat A rookies)

Keane would have been one but you are only allowed 1 Irish Cat B

Keane is eligible for another year as rookie, I wonder if we are allowed to slot him over into Cat B?
