Do you know if we are able to pay that off in one or 2 hits? and if that's what we are trying to do?

Dumb question: Even though those dollars come out of our bank account, are they are also included in our cap for TPP accounting purposes??
It's never as good/nor bad as it seems...

So the cap takes into account what we pay and when we pay it so we can front or back end it. That amount is included in our TPP. If we paid less in one year the dogs pay more so Treloar gets what is in his contract from a TPP view.
I beleive we were wanting to front load it so pay more year one and a lot less year 5. This was what the last minute argument was about. I honestly dont know where it ended up. I do know it was no more than $850k total.

The Josh Kelly deal was arguably the most irresponsible deal ever struck. The guy is a good midfielder but not a star and is on massive money until he is about 34. Incredible

He looked like a once in a generation gun, but that's why you don't do those kind of deals, injury form mental health, there's so many ways for the really big deals to go south

Considering what we have Grundy on, we probably shouldn’t be throwing stones!

His contract is crazy irresponsible.

Always have. Always will be as long as clubs are desperate for gun players.

Hardly. Only one or two rucks a team. If GWS had Grundy they'd be a totally different team. Plenty of mids and Kelly was able to trigger a "continuation" that no other club were willing to match forcing him to stay in syd.

Ruck or not, he is costing us a shitload for a very long time with questionable output and value for that shitload.

But no point discussing - we’re stuck with him and hopefully he can become consistently dominant moving forward… which is what someone on a Mil a year should be.

The Cats and Essendon are keen on Stengle after Collingwood withdrew from the race for the 22-year-old former Crow and Tiger. Stengle played in a premiership for Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFL on Sunday. The Age

Good. We don’t want Stengle when we want to build culture as well as a premiership team. Not worth the risk, especially from what I hear. He’s lucky he didn’t get jail time for the coke bust (reported in Adelaide it was coke).

By the way, how the duck did Melbourne score a first round draft pick?!
