Why not? It seems a reasonable concern to me. Who predicted the emergence of the delta variant?

Meanwhile I'm seeing a small but very wound up minority of people refusing vaccination. People quoting federal H&S legislation, demanding risk assessments, consultation, MSDS for the vaccines and arguing discrimination, human rights, privacy breaches etc.

Wow.

The old "Natural Person" line has been dragged out, aligned with the Red union mob out of Qld (who aren't real unions but professional associations unaffiliated with the ACTU and potentially right wing leaning) trying to fight the orders with quasi legal mumbo jumbo. FFS, because the TGA has only provisionally approved the vaccines we're forcing people to participate in a clinical vaccine trial. Ehhhh, literally billions of people around the world have had these vaccines.

Employers don't have the option to just ignore the public health orders but it would have been so helpful if they were released earlier. While the announcement was made last week there was no detail or force for employers to work with, instead the public health orders were signed over the weekend leaving employers 5 days to identify the vaccination status or intent of all their employees and take action to prevent them from coming to work. AKA stand down without pay.

FMD, are we having fun yet?

Oh, by the way, the Services Victoria App is now able to download your Covid Digital Certificate from MyGov.

Allowing fully vaxxed people only is being trialed in a few regional areas in preparation for the great reopening. Very quick and easy to do, you get a pretty hologram thing when you check in.

this! with that many of course there will be a fair few reactions, however i bet more than a few the tinfoil hat brigade are quoting are merely a rash or a slight fever for an hour or 2, or god forbid, a bruise!

People quoting TGA reported adverse events numbers to argue that Vaccines are killing people. Reported Adverse events include soreness, bruising, feeling off etc that last for less than 24 hours and constitute the vast majority.

It won't happen because keeping the infection as low as possible requires ongoing restrictions. That won't happen. As things open up, international and intranational travel resumes, infection will spread as a natural consequence.

Looking at those data statewide, the encouraging thing is that so many LGAs have near-complete first vaccination coverage. Indeed, only a handful of LGAs (Stonnington, Moreland, Darebin, Port Phillip, Yarra, Maribyrnong, Melbourne) have under 80% first vaccine coverage, so there's good reason to think that with continued effort, Victoria's fully-vaccinated rate will reach 90-95% of the eligible population.

I know someone very hesitant about the vaccines after 2 close friends both died within a week of their vaccination from heart attacks. Both were young, fit and healthy.

It's interesting given how all the AZ blood clots were made public, yet we hear nothing about Pfizer despite it's know heart issues.
