So no deaths from Pfizer?

Everything in life has risks. Sadly the fact is now there’s a good chance a lot of us will get covid at some point, and it’s also fact that if you have been vaccinated you won’t get as sick. Even if you have other health problems.

The more rampant the disease the more chance it morphs into something worse, not to mention the hours the first responders are putting in.

Once the certificate comes into play, once the disaster payments dry up, let’s see how many are still carrying on likepork chops.
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!

I think people should have the choice to get vaccinated, not be get a jab or lose your job. These aren't people in high risk industries that might be expected to get a jab, most are office workers!

But the part about most people getting it is why I did roll my eyes at the QLD CHO who said no one under 40 in her state should get AZ because the 1 in a million chance of dying from a blood clot was unacceptable given they'd likely survive Covid. Yet I'm pretty sure if 1 million under 40's got Covid, more than 1 would die...

At the end of the day people should be free to make their own choices over getting vaccinated and which vaccine they want.

i disagree. well in part.

you can choose not to get it. that also means you choose to forego 000 response, medical assistance when you get covid, diaster payments, any kind of financial aide from the government, after all, you are choosing to make yourself unemployable, so you wont be contributing to tax.you are also choosing not to go out for dinner, to the movies, for a coffee.

why? because it is not just about you.

1 in a million chance of dying from the vaccine. but we will give you a safer alternative, no we will give you 2!

what are the odds of catching covid once we hit 80% and then just go open slather? what are the stats for ongoing long covid symtoms? life time disability because you got covid and were unvaccinated? what are the odds of dying? especially since if it gets as bad as it did in New York, choices have to be made, they choose the fittest to survive, the one with more chance. the one who is vaccinated?

its still a choice.

choose.

are your kids vaccinated? they cant go to school if they are not! no difference.

A happier way of looking at it is that the Victorian R(Eff) has only bobbled from 0.99 to 1.02 - the number of cases is big but COVID still isn't (yet/at the moment etc etc) running rampant.

^ Vaccines only reduce positive cases by between about 40% and 60%, as I understand the data. The real impact is on the manifestation of severe symptoms and deaths. The latter two figures are way lower, given the number of cases, than they would have been pre-vaccine.

Last year, Victoria had 20,000 cases and some figure near 900 deaths. This time, Victoria has had another 30,000 cases but nowhere near the same number of deaths.

My ex flatmate has been double vaxxed but this week was feeling crook and has told to isolate for 14 days. He lives on his own in Ormond and can see him going stir crazy.

Fun filled action packed evening of emailing people who have't been vaccinated telling them they're stood down without pay. My eyes feel like they're bleeding.

I'm ready to go full Machete on antivaxxers.
