A mate of mine is temporarily in StKilda while they are building a new railway station in Chelsea. He went for a sroll down Fitzroy St yesterday and a woman who decided to go topless was espousing the benefits of getting Covid vaccinations.

It could work if say about 20 strippers gathered on mass and decided they would do it every day for a month and the local government banned anyone from attending unless vaccinated. The young punks who decided they didn't need it would soon fall in line to get jabbed.
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.

Correct, but they originally said it was because of suspected child to child transmission. In other words, they lied.

The bloke from Jims Mowing is taking action over why sole traders like gardeners who were working outside away from people weren't allowed to continue. There's a number of inconsistencies in restrictions, you yourself have pointed that out, that people impacted by them will want explained.

Yes there are a large cohort of people who vote on party lines and won't care, but there's also a large cohort who don't and many will be angry and looking for justification.

Again, we'll see.
Well, we won't (unless it doesn't matter). Which was, of course, my point.

Strip clubs and brothels reopen at 80% but only for the fully vaccinated. That may work too. :P

50 blokes sitting in a room and yelling at the girls "take off your mask, show us your face"
They have allowed massage places to reopen here here for foot massages only. But a lot of the places don't care if you are only 4 inches as long as you tip them well. There are no tourists or very few so most of the girls have gone back to the villages.

Can be isn't the same as Was. They admitted it afterwards, there was no evidence that Covid had been transmitted between children at playgrounds. The re-opening rules said it all.

Much like how during lockdown 4 they increased restrictions based on a lie, then a day or 2 later had to admit the fleeting outdoor contacts were actually a false positive...

It's based around the completely unnecessary Valentines Day lockdown that cost hospitality businesses hundreds of millions of dollars on one of their biggest weekends of the year.

Of course people deserve the truth, was it because the Victorian gold standard contact tracing team had fallen over with just a handful of cases and had to lockdown before they lost control? Did they actually **** up so badly they were calling people on their call sheets from December outbreak instead of the current outbreak?

This was also an outbreak that never spread outside its initial small group of very close contacts and had been contained before we went into lockdown.
do you personally know any of the poor buggers who are actually doing this, making the calls? awfully hard when every second caller gives you a mouthful and doesnt tell the truth.

funny, people dont want to be treated like children, but when push comes to shove they act like a bunch of 6 grade mean girls plotting the downfall of the dags! actually worse, drunken dickhead men at a losing footy game!
I do actually, but this was a case of them not even getting to the contacting people stage within a day or 2 as was the required standard and them becoming so overwhelmed with 4-5 daily cases they had to ask for a lockdown to catch up.

Calling it a lie is utter crap. You do get what the 'novel' in 'novel corona virus' means don't you? The government and DHHS have been operating with out clear and definitive knowledge of how COVID spreads across the whole pandemic and you seriously expect that errors like this won't be made? And that makes it a lie?

If people actually want some insight into the pressure that decision-makers have been working under over the last 18 months and what its like to actually make big calls with limited information and no time, go to the Victorian Ombudsman's site and trawl through the report investigating the public housing towers lockdown from last July. Then try putting yourselves in the position of those that actually have to make these decisions.

No doubt, but why hide the information you used to make decisions?

If you made sound decisions based on the facts at the time, the you have nothing to hide.
