Thanks. I think the two of you are asking very relevant questions. And as for Slagman's comments re/ winning premierships, the football department takes care of that side so long as they have the support of the board. Qn. What is your view on term limits for the President and other members of the board? Do you support them and if so how often should renewal occur?
Qn. According to many surveys, Collingwood has one of the largest supporter bases around the country, but is unable to translate that into the biggest membership base with it being ranked #3 in total members behind West Coast and Richmond in the last few years. What mechanisms will you utilise to engage non-members to sign up with the club?
Qn. West Coast and Richmond have exceeded 100,000 members in the last few years. In an ideal scenario, how many members do you aim for the club to have by the end of the decade?

[*] Pushing for 11 home games at the MCG (current arrangement is 9 at the MCG, 2 at Marvel).
[*] Regular members forums.
[*] At least one director(s) sitting with legends members at every home game to gauge feedback from members.
[*] Upholding financial independence of the club.
[*] Pushing for a review of the soft cap (footy department tax).
[*] Maintain and enhance community programs.
[*] Seek out new long-term sponsors with CGU and Holden exiting the club.
The reservations I have with respect to him is his close connection to McGuire, how involved he will be in football department matters and he's unclear on where he stands with term limits for board members.
That's my two cents.

The non PC question is “How can Browne get Collingwood to the position of being the most hated football club in Australia?” In our history we have played some of our best football when it has been an “us versus them” scenario where we have had our backs against the wall. Hafey made an art form of orchestrating this. You know Collingwood is in deep shit when the hack media and feral opposition supporters start feeling sorry for us. This happens when we consistently lose. If we ever get to the glory days of when we used to annihilate teams, we will be doing well but team salary cap equalisation makes this task improbable. So we need to start winning more than we lose and slowly start to piss off the Collingwood haters. That will be a great start.
Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!

Sorry but I disagree totally with you. If we pursue an us versus them strategy this football club is stuffed. We live in the 21st century now. It's about living with everybody else.
