Scary maths when you think it has 32 mutations in the spike protein and the Delta variant has 10. Mercifully, everyone's onto it earlier, but given the appalling lack of discipline thus far....

Ugh, I feel like doing a Sleeping Beauty and hitting the sack indefinitely. Wake me up when this is all over!

On the more hopeful front:

"Immunity from the vaccination is still likely to protect you from severe disease. You might get a snuffle or a headache or a filthy cold but your chance of coming into hospital or intensive care or sadly dying are greatly diminished by the vaccine and still will be going into the future."
