POLICE are searching for three people who escaped from the Howard Springs quarantine facility this morning.

NT Police confirmed three people scaled the fence and fled the Centre for National Resilience at 4.40am.

It is unknown if the fugitives are international or domestic arrivals or close contacts connected to the Katherine cluster.
Seriously? What is wrong with these people.

And this,
The incident is the second time in a week that a returned traveller has escaped from quarantine at Howard Springs.

Just last week a 27-year-old male allegedly absconded from the facility and was later found by police at a bar on Mitchell St.
I mean, really? They should have just taken him to the East Alligator River and told him if he could swim across he would be free. Could also be a scientific experiment to see if Crocs catch Covid.
Why there Quarantines Places need to be Miles away from People

I've driven past Howard Springs, it's not exactly next to a major shopping centre, it's 25km from Darwin CBD

I had to quarantine at Howard Springs back in Feb,
yes, not much nearby.

security was very lax on the perimeter fence, one Indian bloke on his phone for each side basically.

This may deserve it's own thread, may not, but I'd have a fair guess this is at least a large part of the reason that Fiona Patten was so easy to negotiate with over the Pandemic Bill.

Nah mate, that's been in the pipeline since well before this latest shitshow. She's actually one of the brightest, most active and most effective MPs in the parliament, as well as having more integrity than most.

I don't disagree with the description, just not sure about some elements of the bill.

No need to get excited either way. That ruling is applicable to organisations who've put thier own mandatory vaccination orders in place, it isn't applicable to any government orders.

That'll happen when they listen to the chief of Moderna who says the vaccine wont be effective against Omicron but, thankfully have a new variation of the vaccine just around the corner.

Surely you can trust the guy whose business reported $5b of revenue in Q3 2021 of which $4.8b was from the COVID vaccine.
