Welcome Michael Hartley

Post by Presti35 »

Or should we say welcome back?

After being delisted by Hawthorn, Michael Hartley is believed to be signing to play for the Collingwood VFL team. If you have the HS subscription, you can read the article there.

Age: 28, Height: 198 cm, Position: Defender. Was on Collingwoods list in 2012-13 and has previously played for Essendon (2016-19) and Hawthorn (2020-21).

So that’s Said and Hartley so far. A couple of other ex AFL players would be perfect to make the Second’s competitive again.

Seymour has solidified itself as one of the teams to beat heading into the 2022 Goulburn Valley League season after securing the services of former AFL defender Michael Hartley.
He'll spend his time playing for both Seymour and Collingwood VFL. Interesting.

Seymour waving the chequebook again.

Hartley will most likely only play the minimum games required to qualify for finals.

Is he also working for the AFLW team? That'll keep him busy...

Listed as specialist coach & runner for the AFLW.
AFLW scheduled to run until end of March.

GVFL - which Seymour plays in - usually starts same time as AFL, so there will be clash in seasons.

For which team I wonder?
I don’t like him serving two masters. He should pick one team and put all his energy and focus playing good football for them all season.
