Maybe 3 months ago I bought a rebounder for my gym, so much fun. I got the new tech one, it has bungee cord things, omg they were so hard to get on it was ridiculous. Me and junior finally got it together, and realised it was on slightly wrong, needed to turn the mat about 90 degrees. So we did it again. 2 weeks of gentle use and a plastic thing that holds the bungees snapped and flew across the room. It’s rate yo 150kg, I’m no where near that! They sent a new mat, thi at lasted 2 weeks and five let go at once, got a few bruises. So I wrote the company only yo be told the one I bought was not suitable for fitness training! I bought it from a fitness supply place. On product review others were told the same thing. I now have one from Amazon, bit more expensive, sturdy as hell, it’s do much fun! There are you tube videos to follow! A guy in a review on the add was over 250 Lb, he posted pics, this one has springs, and it was a matter of unfold it and attach the legs and optional support bar! Brilliant. Trampolines are dangerous things!
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!

I had to Google a rebounder. Good way of getting cardio I guess if you have dodgy knees. Even though I can jog now I've lost weight, the knees still get shitty with me if I push it.
Anyway, today went to St Kilda for the work Xmas party. First time I've been on a train since March 2020.
After some initial anxiety (and my phone Myki not working) all went well. Train was sparsely populated, everyone was masked up. Got to Flinders St then caught the 67 Tram to Carlisle St. Tram was even less populated. last time I caught a Tram we were so jam packed in it was unreal. Things have changed.
Nice lunch, 30 people in a rooftop area, no masks, set menu and buy your own drinks. I just had a few pints of midstrength 3.1 ( so I thought) to stay tidy. Checked my account online on the way home, 8 pints in 4 hours and the only damage was I felt full.
They did a crazy version of a Secret Santa called Bad Santa.
Everyone who brings a secret gift put them in a pile and gets a number.
First person up chooses from the pile and opens their gift showing everyone what they have. 2nd up can either choose from the pile or take the gift from the first person in which case that one goes back to the pile. People with later choices have a whole bunch of open gifts to take from others or pick from the pile. As it got going, we had a point where the next up took somone elses gift, who then went and took someone elses gift for about 6 goes until someone went back to the pile. Looked like all the ingredients for a bar room brawl to me, but everyone went with it and had fun. One poor bugger had his gift taken off him about 6 times
Left bit after 4:30, Tram back to Flinders St, no taxis at the rank so got a train home.
I haven't done anything like that for a very very long time. It was fun.

I didn't know there was a 4:30 am.
I wake up when the sun comes up which is great in Summer but lousy in Winter when I have to get up in the dark and bump into walls til the coffee kicks in.
Hope you're having a blast up there, you've earned the break.

I've been to Qld plenty of times. Noting weird about earlier sunrises and sunsets, coastal Qld is a lot further East than Melbourne so the sun rises and sets earlier than here.
I just normally go there in Winter so sunrise is closer to 6am.
