Victoria also releasing the unvaccinated back into society but still keeping mask rules because Dans a liar.
So are you suggesting we should have got rid of masks as originally intended despite the emergence of Omicron or that it's emergence should have been forseen?
The less dangerous strain?

If we are going to delay every time a new variant is discovered because we need 3 months of data do properly evaluate it, then I guess I can give up on ever hearing people properly again because there always be new variants…

It seems all it took was a new variant to get people suddenly caring about daily case numbers again

More statements confirming what we know on Omicron from Fauci and co. Still no decisive info allowing us to lower concerns just yet.

It would be nice to get some upbeat data come together before Christmas but time's not on our side.

I can tell you one thing, by geez I miss going to the pub in winter over here :(

No masks and the QR code checkin has been removed

I hope not, people seem so happy to just be getting on with life. I spoke to the manager at the cafe I went to for brunch, everyone there is rapt to not have to wear masks or enforce vaccination status checkins. Feels great.

^ lockouts are coming. Nothing more certain with European countries starting to implement tight restrictions.

We'll see hospitality closed. No nightclubs, concerts, outdoor gathering etc.

It's Winter in Europe. Provided hospitalisations don't substantially increase, there's no case to lockdown again
