Sydney Collingwood Supporters Club Invasion!!!

SYDNEY, NEW SOUTH WALES: The Sydney Collingwood Supporters Club is now in the final days of preperation for their first trip to Melbourne to see the mighty Collingwood Magpies take on premiership leaders, the St Kilda Saints.

"Although we only have 20 people going to Melbourne, we intend to make ourselves heard." said Michael Gallagher, Functions Co-Ordinator.

The SCSC is travelling to Melbourne aboard a 22 seater mini bus on hire from AVIS rentals in Sydney and is staying at the Ibus Motel in Melbourne.

"We are leaving Sydney around 8:00pm on Friday the 14th of May" said Gallagher. "We are stopping at Yass, and then Albury before driving right through into Melbourne."

There is even talk of some beverages being consumed on the trip, however Gallagher wasnt very keen to elaborate. "I dont know, we have two big matches on the next day, what with us taking on those so called football players in the Cheersquad, and then later that night Collingwood V St Kilda, but I expect there will be a few drinks purely for medicinal purposes"

When asked about the Supporters Cup match to be played on this weekend, Gallagher offered these original cleches...

"At the end of the day, as long as we are centimetre perfect, take it as it comes, and give 110 percent effort then we'll be in there till the siren"
