What a shame he couldn't spread the message across the world because the CCP silenced him. That was the small window of opportunity to eliminate the virus before it spread worldwide.

I don't want the government to "keep people safe". I want them to get the hell out of our lives and let people make their own choices.Dave The Man wrote:They are Trying to Keep People Safe.
IF you Choose not to get Vaccinated then you accept the Side Effects of Not getting the Vaccine
I'm vaccinated. I'm just against mandates.

Except when, as in this case, people are actually making choices that affect other people. It isn't a "choice" about an individual's private risk. It's a determination that taking the risk is fine because the disease probably won't worry them and they couldn't give a damn who else it kills. Vaccinations reduce transmissibility. Every person who is vaccinated reduces the likelihood of transmission to a vulnerable person.Jezza wrote:I don't want the government to "keep people safe". Of course it should be mandated. It's like paying tax and going to school. Just something you have to do.

At some point I expect someone will do an article with a proper analysis of the Federal and State responses to Covid over the past 2 years.
That ideally would include looking at each states public health capacity as originally restrictions were to "flatten the curve" before some states decided to go to extra restrictions and lockdowns aiming at Covid Zero.
I've read that there's research being done on the impact of lockdowns and that they may have indeed created more problems than they solved.
I don't think Victoria will be going back into lockdown unless things turn to absolute shit, as people just won't accept it.

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

Why?#26 wrote:Does anyone here think Victoria should go back into lockdown?
Numbers are Going Down.
Only Way I see a Lockdown happening is IF a Variant comes out that the Vaccine does not work on.
We could have Restrictions back IF Numbers go back up and that be trying to stop Big Gatherings

Are the numbers up or down?Pies4shaw wrote:^ No chance. You're actually living through a "massive spike in the death toll". Right now, COVID is the leading cause of death in Australia. Carry on as you were.
