Will the club stand him down pending an investigation or stand by their man?

I wonder if the media will go after him as they did Jordy?

Old timers here would tell you that there is not a hope in hell of this happening. Reality has always been that Collingwood sells papers and gets high ratings. The others not as much.

%$^ me, they just won the flag under this guys coaching last season.

Highly doubtful, this is anything serious, given the team success under him.

What is with modern 2021 society, and its gunning for bringing people down in all walks of life.

Dunno, does success excuse bad behaviour?

Are you allowed to be a bully at work if you are a star performer? Do we turn a blind eye to casual racism or sexism if someone's really good at their job?

Yeah I alluded to this is my rants the past year or two how the media craps all over us about anything,,when there’s worse at other clubs but they don’t say boo about it. It’s all coming out now, but the double standards from the media re us and other clubs is in no doubt now. Collingwood is often used in media to distract from what other clubs get up to. Goodwin has other vices than gambling too that the news isn’t talking about right now.

By the way, this isn’t something new, it had been an issue with him for years. It’s a lot more than getting on the beers after winning the flag, but the media’s not going to go any further in the details.

Media, AFL and Melbourne are pathetic. It’s more than “just a few celebratory beers”, think Bomber Thompson (and his issues were known when he was coaching, didn’t just magically start post-coaching). As I’ve said many times, AFL/media love to throw us under the bus but they keep quiet about other clubs. Media isn’t reporting even half the shit going on either.

Gawn comes out and defends the coach.

Side by side seems more appropriate for Melbourne.
