I’m not up with workings of Rising Star

So Nick nominated OK

Each player nominated must tally more nominations for the full season???

No, nominated once per season - but there is a vote at the end of the year. It isn't based on performances, like the Brownlow - it's just a vote for the 5 guys each member of the voting panel thinks are the "best" 5, as I understand it.

Down the track, could be as good as Judd was.

someone said he was our ready made replacement for Pendles. what struck me by that observation is that it reminded me that when Pendles started playing back in 06/07 (amid much criticism about how high he was selected i might add), it was clear he was on another level (even though he wasnt dominating games). I knew he was elite in the first few times i saw him.

I think Nick Daicos might be the only one who comes close to giving me that feeling in the 17 years since that time. Actually, i also felt a little bit of it when i first saw DeGoey and Quaynor, but not quite on the level of Daicos/Pendles.

can you imagine how good he is going to be after 4 pre-seasons when in addition to this skill, he is as strong as Petracca. The mind just boggles at the thought.....

Both Daicoses (if that's even a word) are very sensible and measured.

Nick has one of the coolest heads in heavy traffic I reckon since Pendles. He doesn't ever seem to rush to the first option but is able to give himself time to get the best option. Must have great peripheral vision to sum up what's around him.

The career trajectories between Nick and Jason Horne - Francis are going to be a must watch over the next ten years. Right now, after only three games, Nick has him covered in every key stat except disposal efficiency ( which is a credit to J H F and to be fair, there’s only 3 % difference )
They’re both different midfield types but they are easily the two most hyped juniors to come from the same draft.
Collingwood have handled him perfectly. Time at half back to preserve the body and also allowing the game to unfold in front of him rather than around him.
