Why is everybody obsessed in getting Heath Black?
Why work so hard in trading for Black?
When we need a player like Mark Porter and a tall defender!
(That's what we should trade hard for)
I say to Heath Black "Go to St KILDA and stuff your career up!"
WHY?

We can get a ruck and tall defender, it just depend who (ie. Kinnear maybe) but getting Black too would be a bonus. Remember there isn't just Noel and MM working on this, the recruiting department has many arms, er hands, whatever.
I'm sure they're working on getting another ruck /defender etc.

Is Heath Black better than Chipper, Rhys, Didak, L.Davis or Scotland?
I think that this kid is no better than some of our existing mid-fielders, so if we can get him on our terms, great-but don't give away quality to get him. If it was Simon Black, give up quality cause Simon Black is a gun, but Heath Black is a kid with talent, but not all that outstanding.

I tend to agree legga. I think c'wood already has a surfeit of midfielders, and it's not as if heath black is a gun player.
a key backman is always nice, but I don't think it is as crucial as a backup ruckman for josh. we have heaps of potential key position defenders in kinnear, cloke and even mckee.
I would love to see c'wood go for a top ruckman, like clark keating, beau mcdonald or greg stafford (or even everitt if he's available). no offence to josh, but c'wood hasn't had a really dominating ruckman since monky.
