Anzac Jumper Bidding (N. Daicos goes for $6190)
Jumpers are going for crazy prices. Players yet to play a game, that may never end up playing a game going for $500+.
Pendles close to 2 and a half grand. Nick Daicos and Ginnivan close to 3 Grand. EDIT: ND now over 3.5 grand...
Unlike ebay, each bid adds a further 5 minutes. Not great news for those bidding with a second remaining. (There's been a few).
I recall winning Presti's top in 2009, only to receive a threat from someone who "owns the number 35" and "has every 35 top". Back then, jumpers went for a couple hundred.

Reminds me of when Kelly had the winning bid on a Jonathan Brown jumper.think positive wrote:worn on the day, unwashed!!!!David wrote:So are these actually the jumpers they wore on the day, or just replicas?
She thought it was a signed game day one.
I couldn't stop laughing at the look on her face when she saw the tag was still on it and to cap it off, was a size Medium.
Don't count the days, make the days count.

I must confess I find it hard to understand why people would spend money on something like that if it's not even authentic (no offence to those here who've done so!)
The irony is that nowadays players do probably go through a different guernsey every game, if not multiple ones. So where do they all go? May as well wash them and put them on eBay …
