Meh. About right really.
The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after.

Outplayed and outmatched in the key moments. Just second to the ball too often.

Crisp and Noble were the highlights of the day. Henry had a good return back from the VFL.

Happy we played out the game well and didn’t give up.

I think dropping Madgen was an error in hindsight. We didn’t have a sufficient matchup for Lynch.

Back to the drawing board for the match committee.

Chin up guys!

Utter useless unbelievable gutless crap! Supporters sitting next to me want a complete urgent Coaching review followed by a sacking of key personnel and players. Everyone around us can see we lack passion and aggression. Too soft , too weak, too pleasant. A boring Club run by boring people with boring players and coaches. Time for Malthouse to be returned with Eddie as President. Let’s get the winning formula back. How dare they worry about what the Cheer Squad can say at games when we play like this ! What a joke
I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for.

Just highlights the need for power forwards and power defenders,of which we have none. Thanks,Mr Hine.

Umps destroyed our momentum with 2 absolute headscratchers when the game was up for grabs. Probably wouldve lost anyway but in a development year the kids have one more big learning experience under their belts

Bad selections today, and for some reason, we want to abide by the sub rule where all other teams exploit it.

Bring in Belichick as coach.

Martin is finished. Great player. Looks disinterested. Will be his last season.

I'd hope we select only key position player and indigenous players. No more 180 - 190cm "utilities".

Reminds me of imagining we had Plugger in the 90s with Mcguane putting it lace out every game. Thanks Richo

One more thing.I think we badly missed Grundy today. We got absolutely smashed in the ruck, just as we did last week.I’m not saying that we would have won if he had played, but I think we would have been a lot more competitive if he had.

I’m proud at the way we played the game out, never giving up at any stage. As a few were saying during the game comments, when it all clicks we are going to be a very good side. You just can’t give away turnovers the way we did today without being severely punished on the scoreboard by a very good team like Richmond. Cudos to Darcy Moore for tightening up in the second half after being annihilated by Lynch in the first half. Think that’s the best game I’ve ever seen Noble play. Well done to he, Quaynor and Nick Daicos for holding the backline together while our talls were being thrashed. That’s also the best game I’ve seen Cameron play. And Begg looks better in the forward line than having to contest the centre circle.
