Awww that’s sweet! Enjoy
Sunday hubby and me were discussing a road trip with the Taj Mahal van in July, he says “ you reckon you’d like to take some shots with a drone?” Umm, I’d be scared of wrecking it, he says nah some have a come home function and take off and land themselves.. but I’d want one with a decent camera. He says have a look. A day of research yesterday, today I went to the drone shop! Yes they have whole shops for them! It was in Brunswick, very helpful, showed me a demo of the one I want! Soi got the JDI Mini 2 with the works from the JDI shop! For $120 you get 2 year “oops” cover if you lose or crash it! Hope it’s not windy tomorrow, it’s all charged up! Now I’m wondering what he’s gunna buy!

Went down to Basso Oval and watched the Swans boys notch a victory over arch rivals South Fremantle.
They had a Legends lunch on in the club rooms and old Toddy was there, Billy Walker (absolute champion, 305 games with 4 Sandovers, 21 State games, 3 premierships and the 1969 All Australian team) and one of the all time greats, Big Ron (Roo) Boucher.
Caught up with heaps of old mates, all surprised to see me on the Carlton Zeros of course.

having a nice hot shower and a shave
Guys were here at 7:40 am. Gas off, heaters off, I'm in freaking Zoom and Teams meetings while they're banging around outside in track pants, ugg boots, hoody and puffer vest. Fkn 12 degrees in the lounge room.
Did a great job though, all finished by 10am. Heaters back on then test the gas flow, all good. Water temperature test, dialled it up a little to 50c. Perfect.
Cleaned up behind themselves and took the old hot water system away. Perfect.

A couple I know are up in Darwin at the moment.
I went to Primary school with her and high school with both of them. They left school, married (other) people, her to an absolute tool, him to similar, got divorced then found each other. I lost contact with them for best part of 30 years but now we're on Facebook and we've caught up a few times in person.
Both cashed in their shares of the family assets, bought a massive caravan and truck to carry it and have spent the past 3 years cruising around FNQ, picking up work and moving where the work is, staying for a few months at a time.
Last night she messaged me asking for recommendations for places to eat and things to do in Darwin as they were staying there for 6 weeks. Jealous much?
So I gave her a list of recommendations, she messaged me tonight from the Hotel Darwin, my go to spot, saying she'd say Hi to the waitresses for me. Biatch.
They're staying at Humpty Doo, in the caravan park behind the pub for $7 a night.
The reason I put this in the Happy thread is I'm just so rapt to see 2 people who endured 20+ years in bad relationships doing the traditional work thing, being in love and enjoying life cruising around.
