And the first inductee for 2022 is Matthew Pavlich.
Christ, Ross Lyon is boring.
Interesting to hear Pav mention he had several chances to leave Freo but never took that path.

And the second inductee for 2022 is Terry Cashion of Tasmanian football fame. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terry_Cashion

And the third inductee for 2022 is Bill Dempsey of West Perth and Northern Territory fame. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Dempsey

Nothing like listening to the old timers tell their stories. Bill Dempsey stolen the show with his stories about the Simpson Medal.

And the fourth inductee for 2022 is a player who was captain under current selection committee member David Parkin, Mike Fitzpatrick.

Fifth for 2022 is Ted Tyson of West Perth fame. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Tyson

West Perth now have more inductees in 1 day than we've had in ten years.

Sixth inductee is Brent Harvey.

Does anyone know why some players wait decades to be inducted while current day players don’t? Can’t see why players like Pav & Judd don’t get inducted in their 50’s 60’s or 70’s.
Some players get inducted after passing away.

He was a very good player for us too, but one who was often hardly noticed, despite racking up lots of possessions. He gave the impression of being a very professional footballer who went about his craft without too much fuss.

Scooby, they really need to look at the worthy players who are still with us that are 75 and older, before it's too late.

I get first ballot inductions, Judd was a freak, Harvey holds the games record... but yes they are in their early 40's. We have to see the old timers get their moment while they are still with us.

I've been pushing for Thorold Merrett the get in for years. He'll be 89 in September. How is he not in? How?? Yet Simon Goodwin goes in, in 2017 at age 40.

So here we are, unless you count Greg Phillips, Michael Taylor or Brad Hardie, we had Ron Todd inducted in 2017 (Shared with Williamstown) and even that was 20 years too late.

And that's it in TEN YEARS.

Bucks went in in 2011, Shaw in 2010, G Brown and Tuddenham in 2008, Weideman in 2007, Peter Moore in 2005 and Wayne Richardson in 2003.

I'd argue that Shaw and Weideman should have been inducted earlier than they did. But that's our past 20 years on inductees.

Therold Merrett still waiting. Billy Picken still waiting.

Dick Condon (died in 1946).
Marcus Whelan (died in 1973).
Harold Rumney (died in 1987).
Darren Millane (died in 1991).
Ray Gabelich (died in 2000).
All forgotten by the selectors.

Dick Lee, Jack Regan, Syd Coventry, the Collier brothers all forgotten about when pushing for legend status. Will Malthouse be elevated?
