David wrote:Exactly. And in any elite sport you'll get a wide range of personalities, ranging from humourless fitness nerds to meathead party boys and everything in-between. Guys in the latter category are already reined in a lot more nowadays than they once were (which is probably for the best), and we could, if we like, try to eradicate them from our club altogether, which would mean turning our backs on some of the best footballers available in favour of a choirboys-only policy. More Ben Brown and Brett Kirk, less Dustin Martin and Dane Swan.

But if our goal is to have the best possible team, win premierships and so on, then I would recommend embracing a diversity of personalities, trying to control what you can (and should) control, and accepting the rest as reflective of the reality of living and working among fellow humans, as we do in all other walks of life.

The easy decision would have been for the club to say to him…. Mate, you forked up 6 months ago, Maybe have your holiday at home. But they didn’t do this. They showed trust, and as I’ve said previously, they would have understood that there was a probability that he would stuff up again.

The issue here is not Bali. It’s DeGoey and his peanut brain.

Decisions are being made daily on all players. The club is testing their words VS their actions and on balance of these actions, players will be either kept or traded.
I am sure they would have encouraged him not to go , unfortunately he isn't on bail . (We wish he was in some ways) So he can make a choice , yet again as they said in Miller's Crossing " A Boneheaded Play".

Well one anonymous club boss wants Jordy at their club, according to an Age poll. There’s one possible trade. ;)

Probably just to keep the media circus away from the main playing group so they can train in peace.

Doubt it, that would just feed them more.

Missed opportunity. We could have put on a sausage sizzle and made a bit of cash from the hungry media.

Click bait headlines, guys. Jordy isn’t back at the club until Wednesday. It even says that in the article, buried halfway down.
