Whale watching! Great day! Got some good shots! No aerials though, made me realise how lucky we were to see them in Alaska!

Up in Toc for the weekend, why I ever considered selling the Redline......I don't know. Love this car. Stuck behind a B double and 2 cars just north of Yaraweah, bends ahead, short opportunity put some toe into it, 70 to 150 in 2 heartbeats.

Fkn cold at night but beautiful sunny days, bought the Mulder up and converted most of a 2x2m pile of pruning into mulch.

Bit of Roundup, need to either get a new chainsaw or blade or get the current one sharpened.

Easy morning, 6km walk before breakfast, then cruised the antique and op shops, listened to the first half of the game on the Bluetooth headphones while mulching, watched the second half on the tablet.

Got some Chili con carne from the supermarket for dinner, time to light the wood stove.

Slept in, little shopping, footy on Kayo, while hubby prepared dinner for some imaginary army, (2 friends are here for the night, they don’t eat that much) now I’m getting my heart rate back to normal around the fire he just lit!

I like camping! Ok more like glamping!

Oh and it was 22 today!

Having a nice long weekend, the Sharks won, the Pies won, my footy team broke a 10 game losing streak and keep alive their hopes of avoiding relegation, my old club won their top of the table clash, Richmond lost.

Plus had 2 awesome events catching up with friends back in Melbourne.

So far this whole weekend couldn’t get any better.

Got the Ute booked in for next week to drop in a new second hand motor.

$5k,should get me at least 2-3 years out of it, can reassess the needs then.

Oldest daughter, SIL and Grandson coming to live in Vic in August. A month in Fitzroy while the youngest and her BF go to Europe for 4 weeks for a long planned holiday then back to Geelong for a while (they own a house there). Hopefully won’t be too long till they’re back in Melbourne semi-permanently.

Back pay under an EBA last pay was welcome despite being only 3% but it was 12 months at 3% and a further 6 months at 3%. That is before the $3K for health care workers for retention payment ($1500 in August and $1500 in October). Showed Mrs WPT a photo of a $5K bicycle

LOL, sounds like the perfect compromise would be a pedal powered kitchen. 100% renewable energy, Mrs WPT cooks the cakes while you provide the electricity trying to burn off calories from the cakes.
