I usually go; grape, beach or mound... don't know why, sounds like you have done a bit of research there David. I never thought about that tbh.

Good tip!

Looking at those most common letters, noise, horse and house will be ones I'll use as openers too.

I think it's a good example of how, rather than try to go for an early guess on third go, it's smarter to start again from scratch with a completely unrelated word to try to figure out at least one of the last two letters (or rule out as many as possible).
